Before You Get Sued: The Legal Foundation Every Small Business Needs

Jerry Brazie doesn't talk to a lot of attorneys. After 30 years in business and a dozen companies, he gets enough of that in the real world. But Matthew Fornaro earned his seat at the table. South Florida business law attorney. 11 years on his own after leaving the big firms. Two decades of watching entrepreneurs make the same legal mistakes that quietly destroy what they've built. This conversation covers the contracts, lawsuits, partnerships, LLCs, and legal realities that every entrepreneur needs to understand and most don't until it's too late. Your Brain Is Not Your Enemy, But It Is the Problem | Dr. Maureen Gibbons on Health for High Achievers

In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie sits down with Dr. Maureen Gibbons, physician, Ironman triathlete, and founder of AMS Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Mo is the author of Freedom to Shift, and this conversation earns every word of that title. Jerry opens up about one of the rawest chapters of his life: being hospitalized 71 times, carrying 110 extra pounds, living on 19 medications, quitting 200mg of oxymorphone cold turkey after a 25-year addiction, and the moment in November 2021 when he was down four pints of blood and chose not to die. Dr. Mo responds with her own truth: a childhood spent on diets, competing in Ironmans at 160 pounds, hiding a GLP-1 prescription from her husband, and the moment eight hours after her first dose when her brain finally went quiet. What this conversation is really about is identity. What happens when the version of you that got you here is not the version that gets you to the next level. What it costs a high achiever to keep pushing without addressing the foundation. And what becomes possible on the other side when you stop treating your health like a willpower contest. Dr. Mo breaks down her SHIFT framework — Success Happens In Focused Transitions — and why health freedom, time freedom, and income freedom are all connected. They also cover: the most overrated health advice, the one habit high performers refuse to let go of, GLP-1 medications without the media noise, and the single fastest action you can take right now to start getting your energy back. Why Most Entrepreneurs Stay Stuck (And Don't Even Know It)

In Episode #321 of The Kronos Group Podcast, Matt Floyd, Steve Floyd, and Jerry Brazie break down the real reason business owners stay stuck — and why the answer isn't more information, better routines, or copying billionaires. It's ownership. This episode dives into: Why "work-life balance" is misleading The daily reset mindset that elite operators use Why Elon Musk-style routines don't apply to you The dangerous habit of blaming external factors How to eliminate the "mental tax" holding you back Why outside perspective is the ultimate unfair advantage If you're serious about growing your business, your health, and your life — this is required listening. What Nobody Tells You About Selling Your Business

Marvin Karlow has been on both sides of the table. He built a manufacturing business out of distressed private equity, grew it, merged it, and sold it to a publicly traded acquirer. Then he watched too many business owners in the $1M to $50M range get underserved at the exit and decided to do something about it. He runs Raincatcher, and he runs closed bid auctions the way investment banks do it for big deals, except for the business owners everyone else ignores. Jerry and Marvin break down the real M&A process, not the version you read about in Forbes, but the version that actually applies to the business you built. This is a conversation about getting what your company is actually worth. Watch it before you need it. The Real Cost: Gas, Nuclear Energy & Why Entrepreneurs Can't Afford to Stay Alone

Jerry Brazie, Matt Floyd, and Steve Floyd break down what's really happening in the economy, why every entrepreneur is feeling it, and what actually separates the business owners who grow through it from the ones who turtle. From gas prices and nuclear energy to accountability, masterminds, and why the room you're in changes everything — this one goes deep. No fluff, no filter, just the real conversation. Stop Playing Small: Alan Lazaros on Grit, Identity, and the Real Price of Untapped Potential

Alan Lazaros was on paper doing everything right at 26. Global top earner, debt paid off, money invested. A head-on crash changed all of it — and forced him to ask the question he had been avoiding: was he actually living at his potential, or just performing for an audience that did not matter? In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie and Alan Lazaros go deep on grit, identity, the compound effect, and why the most successful people rarely look like it online. Buying vs Starting: The Business Conversation Every Entrepreneur Needs to Hear Right Now

Baby boomers are retiring at a rate of 10,000 per day and roughly half of all privately owned businesses in the U.S. are owned by boomers with no succession plan. That is the setup for what Jerry Brazie, Matt Floyd, and Steve Floyd call the silver tsunami — one of the greatest business acquisition opportunities in history. In this episode, Jerry breaks down how to find these deals, what to actually look for in an acquisition, how to structure a deal without traditional financing, and why the motivated entrepreneur will always beat private equity in a one-to-one sale. They also break down the Grosjean F1 crash in full — the 28 seconds, the 67 Gs, the engineering that saved his life — and tie it all back to how you build something that actually lasts. Why You Are Broke Even When Business Is Good | Rocky Lalvani

Rocky Lalvani grew up watching immigrants build the American dream from scratch and decided early that he wanted to be on the right side of that equation. After years in corporate and a lifetime of studying how money actually works, he now serves as a Chief Profitability Officer helping business owners who look successful from the outside figure out why they feel financially stuck on the inside. In this episode, Rocky and Jerry Brazie break down the three financial drivers behind every business, why most owners only track one of them, what your bookkeeper and CPA are not telling you about your own numbers, and why the lie that more revenue will solve everything might be the most expensive belief a business owner can hold. Practical, straight, and loaded with the kind of insight that turns struggling operators into profitable ones. Artemis, Age, and the Math That Makes Winners | Kronos Group Podcast

You are not tired because you are getting older. You are tired because of the weight you are carrying, and that is a problem with a solution. Jerry Brazie and Steve Floyd bring the real numbers: every extra pound you carry adds up to four pounds of force on your knees with every single step. Over 10,000 steps a day, that adds up to tens of millions of pounds of extra punishment over the course of a year. This episode is a health reality check wrapped in real conversation, and it ends with a breakdown of the Artemis launch that will make you appreciate what humans are capable of when they do the math right. The Hard Truth About Leadership | Dr. Andy Neillie

Most leadership content online is designed to get clicks, not build businesses. Jerry Brazie's guest today, Dr. Andy Neillie, knows the difference. Andy grew an Aquatots franchise to 5 locations and 175 employees over 16 years before selling. He has spoken in front of Fortune 500 companies, trained SMB leaders, and written about everything from servant leadership to the lessons his rescue dogs taught him along the way. In this conversation, Jerry and Andy tear into the gap between what the internet tells entrepreneurs and what actually works — from holding hard conversations to knowing when health becomes your most important business asset. The Startup Advice Every Entrepreneur Needs ft. Adam Spector

Most founders think raising money is the goal. It's not. In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie sits down with Adam Spector, CEO of Chore and an angel investor backing early-stage companies. What Sports Teach Us About Building Real Businesses | The Kronos Group Podcast #297

Entrepreneurship isn't viral — it's disciplined. In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie, Matt Floyd, and Steve Floyd break down why building a real business is far more like sports than social media. Championships aren't won on highlight plays. They're won in practice, repetition, and fundamentals. This conversation connects lessons from sports, leadership, and life to entrepreneurship — and why consistency, execution, and discipline matter more than motivation or visibility. In this episode, we cover: Why business is a long season, not a highlight reel How discipline beats motivation every time What sports teach us about leadership and pressure Why fundamentals matter more in tough markets The danger of chasing attention instead of execution How real entrepreneurs stay focused long-term This episode is for business owners who are building something real — even when it feels slow, quiet, or unrecognized. The Costly LinkedIn Mistakes That Entrepreneurs Keep Making ft. Daniel Alfon | The Kronos Group Podcast #296

I've watched a lot of platforms come and go. What hasn't changed is this: business still moves through relationships. In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, I sat down with Daniel Alfon, one of the earliest LinkedIn users, to talk about why most entrepreneurs are frustrated with LinkedIn — and why it's usually not the platform's fault. Daniel's been on LinkedIn since the early 2000s. He's made the mistakes, chased the metrics, tried the automation — and figured out what actually works for business owners. Here's the short version: LinkedIn isn't social media. It's the world's largest business network. In this conversation, we break down: Why networking beats posting every time The difference between most connected and best connected Why vanity metrics don't translate to revenue How referrals really happen on LinkedIn Why peer groups outperform ads and automation If you're running a business between $1M–$25M in revenue, this episode will change how you think about LinkedIn — and relationships in general. The Real Pressure Facing Entrepreneurs in 2026 | The Kronos Group Podcast #295

In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie is joined by Matt Floyd and Steve Floyd for a wide-ranging conversation on leadership, economic pressure, culture shifts, and what business owners are actually dealing with in 2026. From global events like Davos and government spending, to the real impact of debt, inflation, and avoided conversations, this episode breaks down how external pressure exposes internal leadership gaps — especially for entrepreneurs running businesses between $1M–$25M in annual revenue. This isn't political commentary for clicks. It's an operator-level discussion about responsibility, decision-making, and the cost of inaction. In this episode, we cover: Why rising debt and inflation amplify leadership mistakes How avoided conversations quietly turn into six-figure problems What global economic shifts signal for small and mid-sized businesses The pressure business owners carry that no one talks about Why peer advisory groups matter more in uncertain markets Leadership, accountability, and the human cost of ownership If you're a business owner feeling squeezed from every direction, this episode will feel uncomfortably familiar. Hard Conversations, High Interest Rates, and the Hidden Cost to Business Owners | The Kronos Group Podcast #293

What happens when rising credit card rates collide with avoided leadership decisions? In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie, Matt Floyd, and Steve Floyd break down a reality many business owners are feeling right now — tighter cash flow, higher interest costs, and more pressure to make decisions that have been delayed too long. This isn't a conversation about politics or predictions. It's about how financial pressure exposes leadership gaps. Jerry shares a real example of how avoiding one hard conversation ended up costing $125,000, and why rising credit card interest rates only amplify the cost of indecision for businesses operating between $1M–$25M in annual revenue. In this episode, we cover: Why rising credit card rates expose weak communication fast How avoided conversations quietly turn into financial losses The real cost of "we'll deal with it later" in business Why cash flow problems often start as communication problems How leadership clarity protects margins in tighter markets Why peer advisory conversations help owners see issues sooner If you're a business owner using credit cards as working capital, managing debt, or feeling margin pressure — this episode will hit close to home. This Is How You Scale a Business Without Burning Out ft. Alisa Sparks | The Kronos Group Podcast #288

Most creative businesses struggle to grow past the founder. In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie talks with Alisa Sparks, founder of Linden Creek, about how she turned a creative service into a scalable, multi-location business. Alisa didn't start with a master plan. She started with a problem — and built systems to solve it. From staging luxury homes to franchising across the country, this conversation highlights what business owners between $1M–$25M in revenue need to hear: Creativity doesn't scale — systems do Inventory and cash flow determine freedom Franchising is a shortcut when done correctly Peer advisory groups accelerate better decisions Leadership means hiring people better than you This episode is a reminder that successful businesses aren't built on hustle alone — they're built on frameworks that work even when the founder steps back. Why Most Business Problems Aren't Real Problems ft. Dennis Meador | The Kronos Group Podcast #287

In this episode of The Kronos Group Podcast, Jerry Brazie sits down with Dennis "DM" Meador, founder of the Legal Podcast Network, for one of the most honest and perspective-shifting conversations we've had on the show. This isn't a surface-level business discussion. It's a deep dive into how lived experience, hardship, and perspective shape better leaders — and why peer advisory groups play such a critical role in entrepreneurial growth. Dennis shares his story of growing up in unstable environments, learning survival skills early in life, and how those experiences translated into leadership, empathy, and the ability to build and scale companies across industries and countries. Jerry reflects on his own background and explains why joining a peer-to-peer advisory group in his early 30s fundamentally changed the trajectory of his businesses and life. Topics covered include: Why many entrepreneurs feel like outsiders How hardship builds perspective and leadership resilience The difference between advice and experience Why peer advisory boards accelerate growth and decision-making How founders get stuck when they try to do everything alone The loss of elder wisdom in modern business culture Why perspective is a competitive advantage Authority built through lived experience — not theory How peer groups reduce costly mistakes for business owners This episode also explores how digital platforms, podcasts, and modern media can restore authority to experienced operators — and why entrepreneurs must learn to listen beyond their own generation. This conversation is for: Business owners and founders Entrepreneurs navigating leadership and isolation Operators considering peer advisory boards Leaders who value experience over hype Anyone building a business for the long term If you've ever felt like you didn't quite fit in — in business or life — this episode explains why that might be your edge. Living with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: A Survivor's Tale | Episode #273

At 38 years old, I was diagnosed with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy—a condition I didn't even know existed until it nearly killed me. On top of that, I developed AFib and AFlutter, which means my heart would spike to 140–240 beats per minute and just stay there for hours—or even days. I was hospitalized over 60 times, cardioverted multiple times (that's the "clear!" shock you see in movies), and lived in constant fear of the next episode. I had to lay down just walking up a flight of stairs. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't move. I was falling apart. Fast forward to today: I've lost 100 pounds, built 30 pounds of muscle, and for three years, I kept those heart issues at bay—not with more meds, not with surgeries, but with discipline, a carnivore diet, and relentless exercise. But I want to be clear—I didn't get here easy. I've had: A broken back since I was 19. A 25-year opioid addiction I had to crawl out of. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy so bad that top cardiologists told me I'd likely end up in a chair. AFib that has landed me in the ER eight times in three weeks—just last month. I've had two ablation surgeries, the latest just days before I recorded this. And yet, I'm walking 4 miles a day, lifting weights, sitting in the sauna, eating clean, and doing what they say people like me simply can't do. Doctors told me I was an anomaly—"the sickest healthy person" they've ever seen. They also said that if more patients did what I've done, they'd have fewer patients. That's the real takeaway here. This video isn't a brag. It's not about showing off. It's a blueprint—a warning shot to your excuses and a lifeline to your willpower. If I can do this with a broken body, a sick heart, and years of suffering, you can too. Whether you're battling AFib, cardiomyopathy, obesity, addiction, or just the defeat that comes with living in a body that's not working like it should—this is for you. I'm sharing my story because I want you to know there's a path forward. And if you need help? DM me. I give away my walk time every day. Four miles, an hour of my time, no charge. Just a conversation to help get you started. Chapters & Topics Covered: Intro and update on my health What is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy? Living with AFib and AFlutter What my heart condition actually does to my body How I lost 100 lbs with the carnivore diet Walking, lifting, and building strength with a broken back My first failed ablation surgery 60+ ER visits and how I managed through them Cardioverting, meds like Diltiazem, and the risks involved My second ablation surgery – what's changed Life after ablation – what I'm feeling now Lessons from doctors and why I'm still standing Why discipline matters more than motivation If you're sick or overweight—where to start Why I believe you can take your health back Offering my time to anyone who wants help
