In the messy seasons, I have been trying my hardest to focus on the joys in life rather than the questions. When you are questioning God a lot one of the best verses to cling to is Matthew 6:34. We should not worry about tomorrow. We should stay focused onto today because God is working out tomorrow. The only thing worry about the future does is takes away from today. You cannot change anything with worry but you can with prayer! Join Seirra McCracken, your host, as she discusses how often we get mad about the things God provides for us, especially when our seasons don't look the way we hoped. In this episode, Numbers 11 is referenced to show how the Israelites grew angry with the manna God was providing for them. Even though the Lord brought them out of a bad situation and continued to provide for them, they were angry. Are you currently angry about the season God has you in? Are you upset because He isn't providing for you like you fee He should? If you are mad about Manna start doing these things: Thank God for your current season each day especially if you want it to look different. Look back and remind yourself what God has already brought you through. Sometimes we need the reminder that we are living in an answered prayer already. Remember that God doesn't owe us anything. He doesn't need to do anything for us but He does it anyways because He is a good God. Find ways to enjoy your current season and have Jesus pour out of you onto others. Join Seirra McCracken, your host as she shares the importance of knowing where your seed falls when it comes to your faith. Matthew 13:1-23 are the Bible verses that Seirra focuses on in the episode. Different seeds: Seed that fell on the path. Someone who doesn't understand or believe the gospel. Seed that fell on rocky ground. Someone who receives the gospel but when troubles come they stop believing. Seed falling among thorns. Someone who hears the gospel but is too focused on worldly things that they don't do anything with their faith. Seed falling on good soil. Someone who hears the gospel and understands it and makes disciples. It is important to sit and reflect on which type of seed you are and see if you need to change. We should all strive to be a seed on good soil. If there are people in your life that aren't on good soil but you would like them to be I encourage you to pray for them. Jacey was struggling medically, and the Lord put it on her heart to remove dairy and gluten from her life. She struggled with it at first, but once she brought God into it, she was able to give it up. The Lord gave Jacey a dream of Him asking her what He would be flipping in her stomach. He reminded her of when Jesus went into the temple and flipped tables because of people selling things in the temple. Then God reminded her that her body is a temple and she needs to recognize that what she puts in her body can either honor God's temple or dishonor the temple. Jacey has lost 65 lbs by seeking God and fasting. Remember that we need to first put our eyes on the Lord and seek Him with our whole heart and then the physical results will come.
