Parshas Emor 5786 ספר ויקרא פרק כד פסוק י ‫ויצא בן אשה ישראלית והוא בן איש מצרי בתוך בני ישראל וינצו במחנה בן הישראלית ואיש הישראלי. Sefer Vayikra Chapter 24 Verse 10 There came out among the Israelites someone who was the son of an Israelite woman and an Egyptian man. And a fight broke out in the camp between that son of an Israelite woman and a certain Israelite man.  

Parshas Achrei Mot-Kedoshim 5786 ספר ויקרא פרק יט פסוק יד ‫לא תקלל חרש ולפני עור לא תתן מכשל ויראת מאלהיך אני יקוק׃‬ Sefer Vayikra Chapter 19 Verse 14 You shall not insult the deaf, or place a stumbling block before the blind. You shall fear your God: I am the Hashem.

Pesach 5786 - Haggadah Episode 5786 - Live @ Modern Bread & Bagel כורך: ‫זכר למקדש כהלל. כן עשה הלל בזמן שבית המקדש היה קים. ‫היה כורך מצה ומרור ואוכל ביחד, לקים מה שנאמר, על מצות ומרוֹרים יאכלהו. In memory of the Temple, in the tradition of Hillel. This is what Hillel would do when the Temple still stood: he would wrap [the Pesach offering] up with matza and bitter herbs and eat them together, to fulfill what is said: “You shall eat it with matza and bitter herbs. Eat while reclining to the left.”

Parshas Tzav 5786 ספר ויקרא פרק ז פסוק יב ‫אם על תודה יקריבנו והקריב ׀ על זבח התודה חלות מצות בלולת בשמן ורקיקי מצות משחים בשמן וסלת מרבכת חלת בלולת בשמן׃‬ Sefer Vayikra Chapter 7 Verse 12 One who offers it for thanksgiving shall offer, together with the sacrifice of thanksgiving, unleavened cakes with oil mixed in—unleavened wafers spread with oil—and cakes of choice flour with oil mixed in, well soaked.

Parshas Terumah 5786 ספר שמות פרק כה פסוק ב ‫דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִקְחוּ־לִי תְּרוּמָה מֵאֵת כׇּל־אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִדְּבֶנּוּ לִבּוֹ תִּקְחוּ אֶת־תְּרוּמָתִי׃ Sefer Shemot Chapter 25 Verse 2 Tell Bnei Yisrael to bring Me gifts; you shall accept gifts for Me from every person whose heart is so moved.

Parshas Mishpatim 5786 ספר שמות פרק כב פסוק ל וְאַנְשֵׁי־קֹדֶשׁ תִּהְיוּן לִי וּבָשָׂר בַּשָּׂדֶה טְרֵפָה לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ לַכֶּלֶב תַּשְׁלִכוּן אֹתוֹ׃ {ס}         SSefer hemos Chapter 22 Verse 30 You shall be holy people to Me: you must not eat flesh torn by beasts in the field; you shall cast it to the dogs.  

Parshas Yitro 5786 ספר שמות פרק יח פסוק י ‫וישמע יתרו כהן מדין חתן משה את כל אשר עשה אלהים למשה ולישראל עמו כי הוציא יקוק את ישראל ממצרים׃‬ _Sefer Shemot Chapter 18 Verse 10_ _Jethro priest of Midian, Moses’ father-in-law, heard all that Hashem had done for Moses and for Israel—Hashem’s people: how the Eternal had brought Israel out from Egypt._

Parshas Beshalach 5786 ספר שמות פרק יד פסוק יג ‫ויאמר משה אל העם אל תיראו התיצבו וראו את ישועת יקוק אשר יעשה לכם היום כי אשר ראיתם את מצרים היום לא תספו לראתם עוד עד עולם׃‬ Sefer Shemot Chapter 14 Verse 13 But Moses said to the people, “Have no fear! Stand by, and witness the deliverance that Hashem will work for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today you will never see again.

Parshas Bo 5786 - Relationships in the Parsha ‫לא ראו איש את אחיו ולא קמו איש מתחתיו שלשת ימים ולכל בני ישראל היה אור במושבתם׃‬ People could not see one another, and for three days no one could move about; but all the Israelites enjoyed light in their dwellings.

וַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה כֵּן אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא שָׁמְעוּ אֶל־מֹשֶׁה מִקֹּצֶר רוּחַ וּמֵעֲבֹדָה קָשָׁה׃ But when Moses told this to the Israelites, they would not listen to Moses, their spirits crushed by cruel bondage 👉🏻 The episode begins with an interesting, impromptu conversation on faith. The Divrei Torah on the one pasuk begin at the 9:51 mark.

פרשת שמות פרק א פסוק י הָבָה נִתְחַכְּמָה לוֹ פֶּן־יִרְבֶּה וְהָיָה כִּי־תִקְרֶאנָה מִלְחָמָה וְנוֹסַף גַּם־הוּא עַל־שֹׂנְאֵינוּ וְנִלְחַם־בָּנוּ וְעָלָה מִן־הָאָרֶץ׃ Parshas Shemos Chapter 1 Verse 10 come, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when any war should chance, they also join our enemies, and fight against us, and so go up out of the land.

וַיִּשְׁלַח יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־יְמִינוֹ וַיָּשֶׁת עַל־רֹאשׁ אֶפְרַיִם וְהוּא הַצָּעִיר וְאֶת־שְׂמֹאלוֹ עַל־רֹאשׁ מְנַשֶּׁה שִׂכֵּל אֶת־יָדָיו כִּי מְנַשֶּׁה הַבְּכוֹר׃ And Yisrael stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Efrayim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Menashshe’s head, changing his hands; for Menashshe was the first-born.

וַיֹּאמֶר יוֹסֵף אֶל־אֶחָיו אֲנִי יוֹסֵף הַעוֹד אָבִי חָי וְלֹא־יָכְלוּ אֶחָיו לַעֲנוֹת אֹתוֹ כִּי נִבְהֲלוּ מִפָּנָיו׃ And Yosef said to his brethren, I am Yosef: does my father yet live? And his brothers could not answer him; for they were terrified at his presence.

וַיֹּאמְרוּ אִישׁ אֶל־אָחִיו אֲבָל אֲשֵׁמִים  אֲנַחְנוּ עַל־אָחִינוּ אֲשֶׁר רָאִינוּ צָרַת נַפְשׁוֹ בְּהִתְחַנְנוֹ אֵלֵינוּ וְלֹא שָׁמָעְנוּ עַל־כֵּן בָּאָה אֵלֵינוּ הַצָּרָה הַזֹּאת. And they said one to another, Truly, we are guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.

וְיִשְׂרָאֵל אָהַב אֶת־יוֹסֵף מִכׇּל־בָּנָיו כִּי־בֶן־זְקֻנִים הוּא לוֹ וְעָשָׂה לוֹ כְּתֹנֶת פַּסִּים׃   Now Israel loved Joseph best of all his sons—he was his “child of old age”; and he had made him an ornamented tunic.

Parshas Vayishlach 5786 קָטֹנְתִּי מִכֹּל הַחֲסָדִים וּמִכׇּל־הָאֱמֶת אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתָ אֶת־עַבְדֶּךָ כִּי בְמַקְלִי עָבַרְתִּי אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן הַזֶּה וְעַתָּה הָיִיתִי לִשְׁנֵי מַחֲנוֹת׃ I am unworthy of all the kindness that You have so steadfastly shown Your servant: with my staff alone I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two camps. https://www.sefaria.org/Genesis.32.11

בראשית פרק יח פסוק יט כִּי יְדַעְתִּיו לְמַעַן אֲשֶׁר יְצַוֶּה אֶת־בָּנָיו וְאֶת־בֵּיתוֹ אַחֲרָיו וְשָׁמְרוּ דֶּרֶךְ יְהֹוָה לַעֲשׂוֹת צְדָקָה וּמִשְׁפָּט לְמַעַן הָבִיא יְהֹוָה עַל־אַבְרָהָם אֵת אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּר עָלָיו׃   Bereishit Chapter 18 Verse 19 For I have singled him out, that he may instruct his children and his posterity to keep the way of יהוה by doing what is just and right, in order that Hashem may bring about for Abraham what has been promised

וְאַתָּה תְּצַוֶּה  אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִקְחוּ אֵלֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן זַיִת זָךְ כָּתִית לַמָּאוֹר לְהַעֲלֹת נֵר תָּמִיד׃ You shall further instruct the Israelites to bring you clear oil of beaten olives for lighting, for kindling lamps regularly.

וְעָשׂוּ לִי מִקְדָּשׁ וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְּתוֹכָם And let them make Me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them.

וַיִּקַּח סֵפֶר הַבְּרִית וַיִּקְרָא בְּאׇזְנֵי הָעָם וַיֹּאמְרוּ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּר ה' נַעֲשֶׂה וְנִשְׁמָע׃ Then he took the record of the covenant and read it aloud to the people. And they said, “All that Hashem has spoken we will faithfully do!”

We're excited to reach this special milestone as we complete our first cycle of Parshios on the One Pasuk Podcast. One year ago, we took a leap of faith, clicked on record, and embarked on a journey into the unknown. We didn’t know where this adventure would take us, but we knew we had Divrei Torah to present, banter to exchange, and a passion for sharing them with all of you. What started as a mere idea, has grown into something truly special and we have YOU to thank for it.
