Resting in God's Character
We've spent the last few episodes talking about pace, urgency, spiritual numbness, and what it looks like to reconnect with God. Beneath all of those conversations is a deeper question: Do we trust God?In this episode, Alex and Chase discuss what it means to rest in God's character, especially during seasons of uncertainty, disappointment, and waiting. Together, they explore how our beliefs about God shape the way we live, how difficult seasons can distort our view of Him, and why remembering God's faithfulness is essential when life doesn't make sense. In this conversation:- What we believe about God and why it matters- The God we imagine vs. the God He reveals- Trusting God in uncertain seasons- How disappointment shapes our view of God- Remembering God's faithfulness - Finding peace in God's character rather than our circumstancesTrust isn't having all the answers. Trust is believing God's character is good even when life doesn't make sense. Maybe the invitation isn't to try harder or do more. Maybe the invitation is simply to know Him more deeply and trust Him more fully.

Busy, But Disconnected
Sophie is joined by Denae, Director of Spiritual Formation at BLVD Church, for a conversation about spiritual numbness, identity, and the abundant life Jesus invites us into. Many people wouldn't use the words "spiritual numbness," but they know what it feels like to be disconnected from God, from themselves, or simply going through the motions. Together, we explore how hurry, fear, and self-dependence can slowly shape our relationship with God and how we can begin reconnecting with Him in the middle of full and busy lives.Maybe nothing is wrong with you if you feel distant from God. Maybe it's an invitation—not to try harder, but to slow down, pay attention, and let God meet you where you are.Let's slow down so we can catch up with Jesus.

What Our Pace Reveals
Episode 2 of The Pace Podcast.Last episode we talked about how a unhealthy pace has become normal in our lives and how we were never created to constantly live rushed, distracted, exhausted, and disconnected. But in this episode, we go deeper and ask the question: Why do we live this way in the first place? Why does urgency feel safer than stillness? In this conversation we explore how urgency slowly pushes us toward self-dependence instead of dependence on God, and how our pace eventually reveals what—or who—we trust. We talk about control, pressure, striving, and why slowing down can feel uncomfortable in a culture rooted in productivity, achievement, urgency, and performance. We also discuss:how urgency can become a control strategywhy God’s pace is slow enough for relationshipwhat speed does to our soulswhy slowing down is spiritual, not lazyhow Jesus responded to pressure differently than we dothe difference between striving and abidingMaybe urgency feels safer because we don’t fully trust what happens when we stop. But maybe stillness is where we actually learn that God is already with us.Let’s slow down so we can catch up with Jesus.

We Don’t Know How to Slow Down
In Episode 1 of Pace, we talk about the unhealthy pace we’ve normalized and how distraction, exhaustion, and constant noise are shaping our everyday lives. We explore why slowing down feels uncomfortable, why busyness has become normal, and how we’ve confused movement with meaning. Through honest conversation and personal reflection, we discuss distraction, hurry, spiritual numbness, and the pressure to constantly keep up — while looking at the different pace Jesus modeled. Instead of trying to fix everything immediately, this episode is an invitation to simply begin noticing the pace we’re living at and who it’s forming us into.
