In order for a person to reach the lofty heights of professional sports it requires a singular dedication and focus to their craft to get a shot at that success. Often once success is achieved it is easy for people to drift from the habits that laid the foundation for success. As followers of Jesus we cannot drift from the good news of Jesus. Jesus came preaching a message of repentance from sin. We cannot share a different message than one Jesus shared and call it good news. Let us not lose our singular focus on how a person can be at peace with the Triune God. Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first the kingdom and righteousness, God help us to obey.  Go make plays!
