I have carried stories that didn't serve me for years until I was forced to look at the ways they kept me protective, disempowered, and disconnected from what I actually want. We hold on to stories because we're afraid of who we'll have to become if we let them go. We hold onto them because they justify our emotions. We hold onto them because we don't know what will happen if we let go. If the story isn't serving you or the world, it's time to write a new one.
