The Rock Church Podcast

Glad you are joining us! We value the study of scripture and diving into the deeper things that the Word of God has for us. Each week we will have a round table discussion about the sermon preached on Sunday and take a little more time on some of the more intricate details of the message.

    Doctrine | Eternal Salvation

Join us in this "Doctrine" series as we discuss (what some see as) controversial topics. Can I lose my salvation? If I mess up, am I out of heaven? Can I reject God and walk away? Can I say yes to Jesus, then continue in my old ways? Let's dig in and explore this reality more in-depth!

  2. 49

    Doctrine | Women in Ministry

Join us in this "Doctrine" series as we discuss (what some see as) controversial topics. Are women to be silent in church? Let's dig in and explore this reality more in-depth!

    Doctrine | Speaking in Tongues

Join us in this "Doctrine" series as we discuss (what some see as) controversial topics. We start this series with the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. Babylon | Deliverance

Series in a sentence: “Daniel lived in Babylon, but Babylon didn’t live in Daniel”A New Testament version of that would be to quote a modern phrase derived from the teachings of Jesus and the Apostle Paul: “To be in the world, but not of it”.This means us being physically present in a place and a culture but having thoughts, values, or our focus elsewhere; On the Kingdom of Heaven. What we will glean from this series is the reminder that we are in the world but not of the world. Christians are called to be set apart. Not conforming to the patterns of the world (as the Apostle Paul said), but renewed by the transforming of our minds. Ultimately, to the mind of Christ. All around us are cultures, subcultures, and various environments in which we can easily be swept away from the things of God, and end up confirming to the world around us.What is so powerful about the life of Daniel was his ability to be held captive in Babylon, serve his leaders well, and also be faithful to God Almighty. There should have been incredible conflict in that scenario, and yet, Daniel accomplished that until the end.

    Unwrapped | The Shepherds

God's ways of being, of doing, and of working are beyond our thoughts or our capacity to understand. He is a master of Story. A master of resources. Which is fitting because He is the master of all creation. Weaving intricately into all His creation His love and pursuit of humankind. To save us. To redeem us. We see this even in this short portion of scripture about the shepherds and them being the first ones to receive the message of Jesus' birth. And the more we study scripture, the more we see how God has been communicating to humankind His intentions to dwell with us from the beginning of creation until the end of all things. Which, for those who are in Christ Jesus, is not the end, it’s just the beginning. In this series, we "unwrap" some of the significant symbolism and meaning of the Christmas story.
