BONUS EPISODE: Being the Church to Secular People ft Dr Wayne Krause
Christmas came early! 🎄 We're releasing a Bonus Episode!!! ... Okay, okay - to be honest, it's one of our unreleased episodes from early this year we happened to finally finish editing and so happened to release it the day before Christmas but hey, merry Christmas anyway 😅 ~ Dr Wayne Krause sits with our hosts, Mitch & Jess (who also happens to be Dr Wayne's *favourite* daughter) and discuss the importance of reaching secular people. We can easily forget that Jesus' commission to us to "go make disciples" is not an option, but a command to all Christians. God wants us to give everyone the option of coming to know Him. Wayne shares that the key to discipleship to the secular person is to be genuine and to listen to them - too often we find ourselves wanting to talk and not listen. Wayne is committed to teaching those within the church how to create environments where secular people can feel like they can come to church again and get connected with people who love God and want to do life together. Books Mentioned: Deep & Wide by Andy Stanley Bless by Dave Ferguson ~ A Message from the SALT Podcast Team Leader To our Salt Creative Podcast Listeners, we want to thank you for journeying with our team for the last 2 years. The Salt Creative Podcast exists to create and prepare disciples ready to influence the world. It begun in 2019 as a ministry of Salt, a Friday night program at Avondale College of Higher Education, to achieve the vision on a much larger scale.
