He shows how Judah comes under the control of the Assyrian Empire. He sets things up for the discussion that he and his wife, Julianne, have regarding the fall of Israel and the rescue of Jerusalem. Together they contrast the two kingdoms during that time period and how the kings of Israel turned to idols while Hezekiah turned to the Lord. They delve into the way Hezekiah learned to rely on God after having started to rely on the world. They discuss Isaiah's role in this and lessons we can learn from it. Kerry addresses the false idea that Israel was supposed to be worshipping a female deity. They talk about how God will fight our battle if we keep our covenant as they talk about the miraculous deliverance of Jerusalem. Then Kerry and George Pierce look at the archaeology of Jerusalem at the time of the fall of Jerusalem to the Babylonians. They talk about what the remains can teach us about the siege, the attacks, the burning, and the terrible living conditions during the siege, including the diseases people had and the starvation happening during the siege of Jerusalem by the Babylonians.
