The biography of one of history’s most influential men, the prophet Mohammed peace be upon him, faithfully translated from Dr Tariq Alsuweidan’s Arabic telling. Finding that there wasn’t an English audio series that was nearly as captivating and enthralling as Dr Alsuweidan’s version, this series was created. Whether your interest is religiously inclined or otherwise, the life of the prophet is both a cornerstone of Islam, and stands on its own as a fascinating story of how an illiterate man from 7th century Arabia, changed the world as we know it.

    Episode 6: The Caliph Umar Converts and the Muslims are Tortured - Life of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)

    Islam is coming head to head with the disbelievers of Quraysh. Islam is spreading and the torture that the Muslims are withstanding is neigh on unbearable, and so some migrate to Abyssinia, modern day Ethiopia. In the midst of all this, the future second Caliph, Umar Ibn Al Khattab converts to Islam and declares his Islam openly, igniting the conflict even more.     Episode 5: The First Muslims - Life of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)

    The command to spread Islam and tell people about it came down, and the new religion spread. But Mecca hated it, it insulted their idols and was bad for business, so they hurt and tortured anyone who would convert, and so Islam was forced into spreading and teaching secretly. This secrecy, the conversion of the most powerful of the companions, and the torture they and others endured, all to come, so please enjoy.

    The amazing story of how revelation first came to the Prophet Mohammed pbuh, how the angel Gabriel appeared to him both as a man in the cave of Hira, and an angel with six hundred wings on his way back to Mecca. That, and the first verses ever revealed of the Quran, Islam’s first followers, and the monotheists of Quraysh, are all in this episode, so please enjoy.

    Episode 3: The Birth of Mohammed and the Prophet Before Islam - Life of the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh)

    The scene is set for the birth of the best of all creation. Mohammed pbuh was not revealed the message until he was 40, so he lived a long life not knowing his ultimate role. And even though he didn’t realise it, his orphanhood, poverty, nobility, and working life, all prepared him for his prophethood.
