Conversations with Al: What Do You Think of the XFL?
Sometimes I feel like my perspective is to narrow. Or I have tunnel vision on specific views. To break from this I like to think about the import little things and how that attention can maybe bring value to someones life. Im going off the cuff today and talking about the XFL. Never heard of it? It's a football league. Bear with me. As many of you know, I love football. This league is essentially a start league for players that are in NFL free agency. So another wards don't have a team to play for. Or for college players that never got drafted into the NFL or cut from practice squads. And former NFL/College coaches. But why was this topic intresting enough for me to make an episode about? The attention and value this league is bringing to these players and coaches. And not only that the fans who love football year round. Let me know what you guys this think. Comment, rate, review and ponder this idea. Thank you guys for listening :)

Conversations with Al: The Domain of the Soul
Enter "The Domain of the Soul" and excerpt from Ryan Holidays new book "Stillness is the Key". Why self-awareness and having patience is important along with experiencing struggle and perseverance. The excerpt above is outlining Tiger Woods great accomplishments on what he was able and still able to do on the golf course. Off the the golf course, he was a disaster. I like exploring deep within because I find things, habits, and experiences i've done since childhood that may be effecting me as an adult. This is also incredibly hard for me. But feel it's necessary for growth as a person, husband/father, business owner and my health. Thank you guys for listening :)

Understanding Human Performance and Literally Becoming a Better Person with Elliot Kleven
Welcome to episode #35 of the SLP. Today I’m proud and happy to finally have Fitness Professional Elliot Kleven on the show. If I had to pin exactly what I thought was the most import theme of this episode it is being a good human and love your family. What does this have to do with your fitness and health? Everything. “If your family is good, then everything is good.” Elliot has been a fitness professional since his early 20’s and and to be honest I don’t see many fitness professionals like him. I do think there is a difference between a Fitness Professional and a Personal Trainer. Elliot checks the box of what it means to care about the craft of physical fitness. His clients with whom he works with and also bringing out the best of his fellow colleagues that train and work under him. He has worked with everyone from your everyday person looking to becoming healthier and live a longer life of longevity to professional athletes that want to become better at their sport. If I had to explain the situation in sport terms (because I love sports) it would feel along the lines of drafting a top 5 pick or trading for a big name player you know can make an impact for your team and the organization. I’m really proud to introduce him my gym and you guys on this platform. This is part 1 of this series with Elliot so please enjoy this episode and thank you guys for listening! :)

Conversations with Al: The Structure to Any Business
Have you ever considered starting a business but not sure where to start? Today’s discussion is all about breaking down my 5 phases I used to build my gym Society Fitness and future projects I’m getting into. Over the past 5 years I’ve gone from not exactly sure where to start or running a business. To then structuring the business from learning an watching other business owners/leaders. And lastly building out this philosophy that has worked for my up to this point. As tech and certain industries evolve so does the steps within the 5 phases. Example) The internet wasn’t a main driver for developing leads 25 years ago. It now is. The reason I built it this way is because it’s simple. Simple to use. Simple to understand. And simple to implement. Find your truth. Implement if necessary. 5 Phases Value Creation (Vision + Product) Value Delivery (Operations) Marketing (Branding + Online/Social Media) Sales (Culture) Finance (Metrics + Scale) Thank you guys for listening and enjoy today’s episode!

Conversations with Al: Starting a Morning Routine
From time to time I would do different morning routines that I would hear high achieving people do to prime their day What I discovered.. It’s all prescription based on what someone is ether suggesting to you or a hack of some sort I personally don’t buy hacks. They sound cheap and bring only short term value. I believe in effective and ineffective Now just the notion of me saying “morning routine” one might say I have already prescribed to philosophy that’s been around for years. Or when you hear or see my personal morning routine you may be thinking I got this from someone or something You are not wrong The way i’ve formulated mine is through a collection of various different habits performed in the past that feel and perform the best for me. So I’ve adopted a method based off prior research and me doing I also want to inform you this is what works for me. You may or may not decide you like something and that’s your truth The purpose of me sharing is to bring light and insight on my particular ideal way to set up my mornings The value in this episode comes from hearing and discovering what is your ideal way to set up any routine Lastly if you listened to our previous episode about suicide prevention with Richard Robinson you know how sensitive this subject can be and just being aware of it around you and reaching to anyone in need or help could help save a life. We started a fundraiser with the organization To Write Love on Her Arms and a donation link that you can support if you wish until December 1st. https://give.twloha.com/fundraiser/2364732 Link to statistics mentioned in beginning of episode.. https://mymorningroutine.com/statistics/ Thank you guys for viewing and listening!

A Solo Cast: Workouts that Fit a Busy Lifestyle
**For the video version click link** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2ld1_8bBcw&t=18s A little different format for the podcast today. Im recording the main pieces of this but attaching the audio to the podcast version. Be sure to check out both. My view on working out has evolved and changed as I go through different phases of my life. Starting back in my early days of playing football and the training stimulus that was required to compete for 20-30 seconds at a time. Transitioning into a field of performance on human behavior and acting where what was required of me was to look as good as possible. Otherwise known as look good naked. Then into a hopeful CrossFit competitor where the demands took a more intense approach of training similar to football but not being limited to one specific thing but rather get better at everything and eliminating weak spots in my athletic foundation. And now becoming a husband, father and entrepreneur. Believe it or not, I believe specific training in this particular field does matter and will only enhance you overall well being in these areas. Of course times will change and my workouts may change again. Take what you find as Truth and adapt. Please enjoy this in depth look into workouts that now fit into my lifestyle that I also incorporated into my gym as well. Thank you guys for listening and viewing :) Lastly if you listened to our last episode about suicide prevention with Richard Robinson you know how sensitive this subject can be and just being aware of it around you and reaching to anyone in need or help could help save a life. We started a fundraiser with the organization To Write Love on Her Arms and a donation link that you can support if you wish until December 1st. https://give.twloha.com/fundraiser/2364732 As always thank you guys for listening and enjoy the show! :)

Increasing the Quality of your Life with Dr. Corey Cohen
"We recommend tune ups or maintenance every 4-6 weeks and people get this concept that I have to go for the rest of my life. Its the same concept as putting oil in your car. If you don’t change your oil consistency break you down. Same thing with the human body.” Dr. Corey Cohen of Canyon Lake Chiropractic Has skepticism ever crossed your mind or maybe even thought of chiropractors are almost a luxury at times? Welcome to episode #32 of the Society Life Podcast with Dr. Corey Cohen of Canyon Lake Chiropractic Just like the quote above from Corey think of going to see your chiropractor as maintenance or tune up your body needs every couple of weeks or months. Some of my questions i have around the sub just are common skepticisms or even pseudo science (fake science). Dr. Corey has basic philosophy he suggests after treating all his patients that helps increase the overall lifestyle and longevity is to always start with your nutrition focusing on whole foods and make sure your consistently training. If you love what Dr. Corey is bringing to the table on this episode and what to learn more from him personally he will be doing a Corrective and Mobility Seminar at Society Fitness on Saturday October 12th. Start time is 10am. Lastly if you listened to our last episode about suicide prevention with Richard Robinson you know how sensitive this subject can be and just being aware of it around you and reaching to anyone in need or help could help save a life. We started a fundraiser with the organization To Write Love on Her Arms and a donation link that you can support if you wish until December 1st. https://give.twloha.com/fundraiser/2364732 As always thank you guys for listening and enjoy the show! :)
