Jason’s account reveals the growing reality of lawfare aimed at silencing Christian and conservative voices. In our interview, Jason talks openly about the moment the charges came, how he processed the accusations, and what it was like to spend his first weekend behind bars as a husband, father, and ministry leader. He also shares how the Lord strengthened him when the weight of the situation felt overwhelming.Jason’s new documentary Inmate 090198 is now available, and I cannot encourage you strongly enough to watch it. Court Upholds Texas Law Protecting Children from Sexual Performances
A major legal victory has been announced in Texas that impacts every family in America, and we’re excited to share the news! In this episode, I sit down with Jonathan Covey, Director of Policy at Texas Values. Jonathan and his team played a central role in securing a significant legal win when the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated a federal injunction against Senate Bill 12. This is the Texas law designed to protect children from exposure to drag shows and “hyper sexualized performances.” This ruling allows SB 12 to move forward, and it marks a meaningful step in the effort to safeguard children from inappropriate performances that have no place in front of kids. Jonathan has spent years working in the Texas Capitol and as a senior policy analyst in the state senate. His experience gives him a unique perspective on why this issue matters and what comes next in the broader fight to defend families. In the episode, we walk through how the case unfolded, why the appeals court sided with Texas, and how this ruling addresses the First Amendment claims critics often raise. We also talk about how this victory could serve as a model for other states and the additional battles Texas Values is facing right now. Protecting Families in Maine – A Conversation with Nick Adolphsen
We’re excited to share a powerful new episode of “The SoCon Report” that hits at the heart of why we fight to protect faith, family, and freedom across America. Family Policy Alliance CEO Craig DeRoche sits down with Nick Adolphsen, the new executive director of the Christian Civic League of Maine, to talk about how his team is standing strong for biblical values in one of the most politically challenging corners of the country. Nick is a lifelong Mainer, the son of a pastor and carpenter, and a man with a heart for both hard work and spiritual truth. His journey from the construction site to public service has given him a unique perspective and deep conviction to lead the charge on some of today’s most critical cultural battles. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll hear in this episode: -The fight for fairness in sports through legislation that would restore biological reality in Maine’s athletic programs by ensuring single-sex competition and spaces. -Efforts to restore parental rights through a bill that seeks to reverse dangerous laws that let minors pursue gender transitions without parental consent. -Work to support legislation protecting women and girls to ensure single-sex shelters remain safe spaces for vulnerable women and reinforce Title IX protections for female athletes. Nick reminds us that Maine thrives when families are strong, churches are engaged, and policies protect life, liberty, and faith. His work reflects exactly why Family Policy Alliance partners with 40 state-level organizations like the Christian Civic League to impact lives, shape policy, and ensure that no state is left behind in the fight for truth.
