It’s not ‘til you start, that you realize what you’re actually building

Sixteen episodes. Countless conversations. A lot of coffee. Several minor social media meltdowns. One podcast. And a huge revelation. When Minna started The Stronger Stuff Show, she thought she was building a podcast. Interview fascinating people.Tell stories.Share conversations.Put it out into the world. Simple. Except somewhere between recording episodes, posting clips, studying metrics, moving countries and trying to figure out what day it was, something else happened. Minna started paying attention. Not to the numbers. To herself. And every time she thought she was learning something about podcasting... She was actually learning something about herself. In this Season 1 finale, Minna looks back on the conversations, stories, mistakes, surprises and realizations that shaped the first chapter of The Stronger Stuff Show. And she shares a huge revelation that is shaping Season 2 and her life going forward. Somewhere along the way, Minna realized she'd become so busy building a podcast around a creative life that she wasn't leaving enough time to actually create her music. Which is both hilarious and deeply annoying. Along the way:Sixteen episodes changed the planFascinating guests changed the conversationStories revealed what matteredCreativity refused to stay in the backgroundMusic moved back to the centerAnd a whole new chapter began This isn't really a story about finishing a season. It's a story about recognizing the thing you've been building all along. And having the courage to put it front and center. Season 1 ends here. And The Stronger Stuff Show will return soon with a new chapter:Minna's journey in what she calls herself as a music artist - Pixie Revolution. More music.More stories.More fascinating people.More adventures. And you have a front-row seat to what happens when an artist stops talking about the dream and starts living it. #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #PixieRevolution #MusicLife #CreativeLife #Storytelling#Artists #Songwriting #ElectronicMusic #ComingAliveStay Connected:Please follow us and share the show to keep the us going strong! I'm Building My Dream Life. So Why Am I Avoiding The Best Part?

Eight weeks ago Minna started The Stronger Stuff Show for one reason: Her music. That was the plan. Meet interesting people. Tell stories. Build a creative life. Make music. Simple. Then somewhere along the way she found herself reading podcast newsletters, checking analytics, posting every day, thinking about algorithms and doing everything except the thing I originally set out to do. Which was slightly awkward. Because she'd already released an episode called F**K The Rules. In this first solo Thursday episode, Minna shares what happened when she realized she was following everyone else's playbook instead of her own. We talk about moving the show to video, feeling intimidated by people with bigger followings, getting directed by a brutally honest teenage son, and why doing fifteen takes of a promo video taught her more than any podcast marketing course ever could. Along the way...The podcast accidentally became the main characterThe music staged a quiet rebellionLeonardo became a director"The Professional" made several unwanted appearancesA new keyboard arrivedLondon started feeling like home…And Minna finally remembered what she was actually building This isn't a story about podcasting. It's a story about what happens when the thing you're creating starts asking you to become more yourself. Which is exciting. And confronting as hell.#TheStrongerStuffShow #Creativity #MusicLife #PodcastLife #Artists #Storytelling #LondonLife#ComingAlive #PixieRevolution Stay Connected:Please follow us and share the show to keep the us going strong! Some People Prefer You Small

Some people prefer the version of you that doubts yourself. The version that asks permission. The version that plays safe. The version that never makes them question what might be possible in their own life. And the strange thing? Sometimes those people aren't strangers.Sometimes they're friends. In this Stronger Sunday Story, Minna talks about one of the most unexpected things she's discovered while launching The Stronger Stuff Show. The more creative she became. The more self-expressed.The more herself. The stranger some people's reactions became. Sharper.Colder.More dismissive. As though her expansion was somehow making them uncomfortable. Along the way, Minna shares the story of a friend with a very special talent. If she ever felt excited about something...Hopeful.Creative.Alive. One phone call could fix that immediately. Within minutes she'd feel ridiculous.Embarrassed.Delusional.Full of self-doubt. As Minna puts it:"It was honestly like emotional food poisoning." Along the way:One friend could ruin an entire afternoonA guest call almost didn't happenSelf-doubt tried to take overConfidence proved surprisingly fragileA podcast launch brought old fears back to lifeAnd Minna discovered who actually belongs in her corner This episode is about ambition, creativity, friendship and the voices we allow inside our heads. The ones that make us feel bigger. And the ones that make us want to disappear. Because when you're building something new, one careless opinion can stay with you for years. The right voice can change everything. The wrong voice can too. And sometimes the most important thing you can protect isn't your idea. It's your belief that you're capable of doing it. #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #Creativity #Friendship #Storytelling #Artists#CreativeLife #SelfExpression #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:Please follow us and share to keep the show going strong! What Else Needs To Happen For You To Wake Up? | Intuition, Chronic Fatigue, Burnout & Trusting Yourself with Andrea Solanki

Doctors told Andrea Solanki she had "yuppie flu." They told her to take antidepressants. Accept her fate. And prepare for a future in a wheelchair. She had other ideas. These days Andrea spends her time helping people through grief, burnout, anxiety, fertility struggles, chronic illnesses, and major life transitions. And occasionally talking to dead relatives. Which wasn't exactly the career plan. In this episode of The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna sits down with energy healer, intuitive herbalist and longtime friend Andrea Solanki for a conversation that moves from chronic fatigue and burnout to intuition, crystals, dead people, red knickers and the strange moments in life that refuse to be explained. Andrea shares how severe chronic fatigue syndrome sent her searching for answers far beyond conventional medicine. That search eventually led her to Reiki, energy healing, herbs, homeopathy, meditation and a completely different way of understanding herself. But life wasn't finished with her yet. While rushing into a London office one Saturday morning, Andrea became trapped beneath seven giant panes of reinforced glass. Alone. Bleeding. Unable to move. And lying there, she heard a voice ask:"What else needs to happen for you to wake up?" That moment changed everything. We talk about intuition, panic attacks, overwhelm, people pleasing, grief, motherhood, fertility struggles, chronic illness, healing, and what happens when you start listening to the quiet voice you've spent your whole life ignoring. We also talk about dead relatives. Because for Andrea, they're often part of the conversation. In This EpisodeThe diagnosis that was supposed to define the rest of her lifeWhy Andrea skipped school to sit in the woods with her dog The London bus she never got onGetting trapped beneath seven giant panes of glassThe voice that changed everythingTalking to dead relativesFertility struggles, grief and motherhoodIntuition versus fearWhy some people ignore their inner knowing for decadesThe crystal that needed its own suitcaseWhy her aromatherapy teacher told her to wear red knickersWhat happens when you stop dismissing what you already know This conversation won't answer every question. But it might make you pay closer attention to the ones you've been ignoring. #TheStrongerStuffShow #AndreaSolanki #Intuition #ChronicFatigue #MEAwareness #Burnout #EnergyHealing #Reiki #Grief #FertilityJourney #TrustYourself #Meditation #Storytelling #ComingAlive #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong!  Join the community and flex your Stronger Stuff @mystrongerstuff Follow The Stronger Stuff Show:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mystrongerstuff/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61587590469654LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/minna-walker-75130a138 Follow Minna |Artist Pixie Revolution:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pixierevolution/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/minna.walker.10Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100068923526719 Andrea Solanki:https://www.andreasolankienergyhealer.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/andreasolanki/?hl=enMusic Credit:Music is written, performed and produced by Minna | Pixie Revolution. © 2026 Pixie Revolution. F**K the Rules - When Did I Start Behaving?

A few weeks before recording her first interviews for The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna woke up at 4am with a horrible realization. She'd accidentally turned her own podcast into a show she didn't want to make. More polished.More serious.More respectable.More like everybody else.... And less like herself. So at 4am she emailed her first guests, Maite Gómez-Rejón and Dr Erica Reid, and asked if they could postpone. Not exactly the glamorous side of podcasting. In this Stronger Sunday Story, Minna shares what happened when she realized she'd spent yearsfollowing everyone else's rules for success. Wake up at 5am.Ice baths.Morning routines.Track your sleep.Optimize your life.Become a better version of yourself. Apparently everybody successful is awake before sunrise doing something uncomfortable. So naturally... Minna tried that too. Including a period where she was waking up at 2am to write songs because she'd heard a famous writer worked that way. The results were not spectacular. Mostly because by Thursday she was exhausted, cranky and terrible company. Along the way:A podcast almost lost its personalityInstagram became a life coachA 2am songwriting experiment went badlyTwo guests helped save the showOne question changed everythingAnd Minna realized she'd been following everybody else's rules instead of her ownThis episode also includes two messages that arrived at exactly the right moment. One from Maite. One from Erica. And both reminding Minna of the thing she'd almost forgotten. The show was never supposed to be polished. It was supposed to be human.Funny.Messy.Unexpected.And honest. This isn't really a story about productivity. It's a story about what happens when you spend so much time listening to experts, influencers and success gurus that you stop listening to yourself. Because sometimes the most rebellious thing you can do isn't to break the rules. It's to ask who made them in the first place. #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #Creativity #MusicLife #Storytelling #Artists#PodcastLife #SelfExpression #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:Please follow us and share the show to keep the us going strong! Who's Really In Bed With You? | Sex, Porn, Relationships, Attraction & The Hidden Patterns Running Your Love Life with Hunter Moore

According to Hunter, when two people get into bed together, there are usually a lot more than two people in the room. Your exes. Your parents. Your religion. Your shame. Your first heartbreak. Your fears. Your beliefs about what's acceptable. And sometimes the stories you've been carrying for decades without even realizing it.Suddenly sex isn't just sex. It's history. It's conditioning. It's family. It's heartbreak. It's everything you brought into the room.In this episode of The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna sits down with professional confidante, relationship counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist Hunter Moore for one of the funniest, warmest and most unexpectedly revealing conversations of Season 1. We talk about sex, porn, attraction, intimacy, relationships, marriage, emotional triggers, childhood conditioning, long-term love and the hidden stories quietly running our lives. We also talk about the younger versions of ourselves who made life-changing decisions long before we understood how powerful they were. The 16-year-old Hunter who decided she'd glide through menopause. The 19-year-old who refused to take no for an answer. And the 51-year-old who remembered she was still that unstoppable girl. Along the way we get into hypnosis, relationships, emotional triggers, inner children, self-worth,boundaries, intimacy and why some of the most important conversations happen when people finally stop pretending. In This EpisodeWhy there are more than two people in bed during sexPornography, intimacy and modern relationshipsEmotional triggers and childhood conditioningHypnosis and the subconscious mindMarriage, long-term love and staying curiousThe younger selves still shaping our livesInner child work and emotional healingWhy we repeat the same relationship patternsFear, intimacy and vulnerabilityBoundaries and self-respectReinvention at every stage of lifeThe difference between surviving and truly connecting If you've ever wondered why the same patterns keep showing up in your relationships, why attraction can feel so confusing, or why certain moments still have power over you years later, this conversation is for you. Because sometimes the person you've been looking for isn't someone new. It's a version of yourself you've forgotten. #TheStrongerStuffShow #HunterMoore #Relationships #Marriage #Intimacy #SexAndRelationships #Hypnosis #EmotionalTriggers #InnerChild #ModernLove #RelationshipAdvice #HumanBehavior #Storytelling #ComingAlive #PixieRevolution Stay Connected:Loved this episode? I Was Playing Small Inside My Own Dream

A few weeks into launching The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna realized something strange was happening. She was starting to tone myself down. Inside her own podcast. The thing she'd created. The thing that was supposed to sound like Minna. She was becoming calmer. More polished. More careful. More professional. More like somebody she'd seen before. And less like herself. The weird part?Minna didn't even notice she was doing it. In this Stronger Sunday Story, Minna shares what happened when she realized she'd started playing small inside the very life she was trying to build. A life built around creativity. Music.Stories.Adventure.Coming alive. Not fitting in. Along the way…A podcast reached Episode 10A family moved countriesLondon became homeA music career came back to lifeSocial media became unexpectedly confrontingAnd a "respectable" version of Minna quietly appeared The problem? She wasn't invited. Somewhere between trying to get things right, be taken seriously and build a successful show,Minna realized she'd accidentally started editing herself.Asking what would work. What people wanted. What successful podcasters do. Instead of asking something much simpler:What do I actually want to say? This isn't really a story about podcasting. It's a story about what happens when you realize you've started shrinking inside your own life. And what happens when you stop. #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #Creativity #MusicLife #Storytelling #Artists#LondonLife #CreativeLife #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:Please follow us and share the show to keep the us going strong! Why You Keep Having The Same Fight | Relationships, Trauma, Boundaries & Emotional Triggers with Alisa Lollback

Why do the same arguments keep showing up in our relationships? Different day. Different person. Same fight. According to psychologist and body psychotherapist Alisa Lollback, most of us aren't reacting to what's happening right now. We're reacting to everything that happened before. In this episode of The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna sits down with Alisa Lollback, a registered psychologist, Core Energetics teacher and body psychotherapist who has spent decades helping people understand why they react the way they do. And at several points during this conversation, it feels like she's reading everyone's mind. Including Minna's. We talk about the childhood experiences that quietly shape our adult relationships, why some people become perfectionists, people pleasers, controllers or high achievers, and how old wounds can keep showing up long after we've forgotten where they came from. Alisa shares why anger isn't the enemy, why guilt isn't actually a feeling, and why many of us spend years disconnected from what we're really feeling. She also tells a story about being fully aware she was being mean to her husband......and choosing to keep going anyway. Until the lower-self hangover arrived the next day. Along the way we get into relationships, parenting, emotional triggers, boundaries, conflict, vulnerability, self-awareness, repair, Core Energetics and the surprising freedom that comes from understanding yourself a little better. In This EpisodeWhy you keep having the same fightChildhood wounds and adult relationshipsEmotional triggers and unconscious reactionsPeople pleasers, perfectionists and controllersWhy anger isn't the problemThe difference between guilt, shame and remorseRepairing ruptures with partners and childrenBoundaries, self-awareness and authenticityThe five Core Energetics character structuresWhy your body often knows before your mind doesThe lower-self hangover after conflictHow awareness creates choiceAnd why the safest people are often the ones who know both their light and their dark If you've ever found yourself thinking: "Why do I keep doing this?" Or "Why do we keep having this same argument?" …this conversation might answer more than a few questions. #TheStrongerStuffShow #AlisaLollback #Relationships #EmotionalTriggers #Trauma #Boundaries #CoreEnergetics #Psychology #SelfAwareness #Parenting #PeoplePleasing#PersonalGrowth #Storytelling #ComingAlive #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:Follow us and share the show to keep us going strong! I Moved To Hong Kong With A Man I'd Only Just Met | The Quiet Voice That Changed My Life

Minna moved to Hong Kong with a man she'd only just met. Her friends thought she'd lost her mind. To be fair, looking back, Minna can see why. She'd never lived in Asia. They barely knew each other. And she was about to pack up her entire life and move across the world. The strange thing? Minna never doubted it for a second. In this Stronger Sunday Story, Minna shares the quiet little voice that's been guiding some of the biggest decisions of her life for as long as she can remember. The voice that took her from Australia to Paris. From London to Hong Kong. From advertising to music. From London to Los Angeles. And usually straight past the opinions of everyone who thought she was making a terrible mistake. Along the way…Paris became homeAn annoying guy at a work dinner became a husbandA moving truck left before the visas arrivedSeveral perfectly sensible people thought she'd lost her mindAnd a quiet little voice kept being right This isn't a story about taking risks. It's a story about recognizing the difference between fear...and knowing. Because the biggest mistakes Minna has made weren't the times she listened to that voice. They were the times she ignored it. #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #Paris #HongKong #LosAngeles #Storytelling #Creativity #LifeDecisions #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:Please follow us and share the show to keep the us going strong! Susan Walbrook spent 26 years designing fashion collections, flying first class around the world, staying in beautiful hotels and shopping for inspiration with a company credit card. On paper, it looked like a dream life. In reality, she was convinced somebody was about to tap her on the shoulder and tell her she didn't belong there. Whether she was presenting to a room full of executives or walking into Première Vision in Paris, one of the biggest fashion trade shows in the world, Susan carried a secret she spent decades hiding:She felt like a fraud. In this episode of The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna sits down with former senior womenswear designerturned coach and founder of Trust Your Creative, Susan Walbrook. We talk about the exhausting reality of spending years trying to prove yourself, the pressure ofperfectionism, and the moment Susan found herself sitting in a doctor's office unable to stop crying. The doctor signed her off work for two weeks. Susan got on the train and went to work anyway. What followed was a year-long journey of therapy, yoga retreats, travel, uncomfortable questionsand discovering who she was without a job title attached to her name. Along the way we talk about burnout, creativity, self-doubt, neuroplasticity, confidence, leadership, vulnerability and why Susan believes most of us have been listening to the same old stories about ourselves for far too long. And yes, we talk about her "Me File." Which includes everything from client testimonials to a woman who keeps a video of herself jumping out of an airplane 74 times as proof that she's braver than her inner critic would like her to believe. In This EpisodeFlying first class around the world and still feeling like a fraudThe fashion industry, perfectionism and pressureBurnout and the doctor's appointment that changed everythingWalking away from a successful careerIdentity beyond your job titleThe hidden cost of imposter syndromeThe power of vulnerability in leadershipWhat creative leaders can do differentlyThe Me File and building evidence for yourselfWhy your inner critic isn't the enemyTrusting yourself again If you've ever looked successful on the outside while privately wondering when everyone would discover you had no idea what you were doing, this conversation is for you. Because sometimes the hardest person to convince you're good enough is yourself. #TheStrongerStuffShow #SusanWalbrook #ImposterSyndrome #Burnout #Creativity #CreativeConfidence #Leadership #WomenInBusiness #WomenInFashion #Perfectionism #TrustYourCreative #Storytelling #ComingAlive #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong!  Join the community & flex your Stronger Stuff @mystrongerstuff Follow The Stronger Stuff Show:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mystrongerstuff/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61587590469654LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/minna-walker-75130a138 Follow Minna |Artist Pixie Revolution:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pixierevolution/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/minna.walker.10Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100068923526719 Susan Walbrook: www.trustyourcreative.com Music Credit:Music is written, performed and produced by Minna | Pixie Revolution. © 2026 Pixie Revolution. My Husband Asked If I Thought Someone Was Going To Kill Me | The Truth About People-Pleasing

One night after work Minna was sitting at home feeling completely disappointed in herself. She'd stayed quiet. Again. She'd smiled. Nodded. Gone along with things. Again. And she felt like she'd sold herself out. Minna's husband Scott looked at her and said:"So what do you think's going to happen if you actually tell people what you think?Someone's going to kill you or something?" The ridiculous part? It honestly felt like they might. In this Stronger Sunday Story, Minna shares the realization that changed the way she thinks about people-pleasing forever. Because for years she thought people-pleasing was kindness. Being easy-going.Being agreeable.Being a good person. Turns out it was something else entirely. We talk about the exhausting job of becoming whoever you think everyone else wants you to be, the moment a friend called her out on it, and why constantly adapting to other people eventually makes it impossible to know where you stand with yourself. Along the way…A meeting led to a brutal realizationA friend told the truthAn energy healer walked straight through every boundaryThe words "I'll get back to you" changed everythingSelf-trust started making a comebackAnd saying yes stopped being automatic This isn't really a story about people-pleasing.It's a story about what happens when you stop asking:"What do they want me to say?" And start asking:"What do I actually think?" #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #PeoplePleasing #Boundaries #SelfTrust #Storytelling #Confidence #Relationships #ComingAlive #PixieRevolution Stay Connected:Please follow us and share the show to keep the us going strong! Reinvention, Miscarriage, Motherhood, Fintech & Learning to Let Go - Sorcha Mulligan

At 19 years old, Sorcha Mulligan signed a banking contract that told her what age she would retire. She looked at it and thought:"No chance." That instinct would take her from Ireland to London, across Southeast Asia as a scuba diving instructor, into fintech, blockchain, venture capital and impact investing. It would also take her through eight pregnancies, multiple miscarriages, postnatal depression, acomplete mental collapse and the slow process of rebuilding a life from the inside out. In this episode of The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna sits down with founder, investor, venture partner, ocean lover and mother of two, Sorcha Mulligan. We talk about what happens when the life that looks successful on paper stops making sense. About walking away from careers that no longer fit. About meeting the love of your life in a gay bar in Belfast. About trying to squeeze an expanded version of yourself back into an old life and watching it implode. And about the surprising freedom that comes from letting go of who you thought you were supposed to be. Along the way we get into banking, blockchain, venture capital, motherhood, nature, mental health, impact investing, wild swimming, shark conservation, meditation and why some of the biggest decisions you'll ever make start with a quiet feeling that something isn't right. In This Episode:Meeting her husband in a gay bar in BelfastEight pregnancies and the road to motherhoodPostnatal depression and rebuilding from rock bottom Walking away from banking to become a scuba diving instructorLiving and diving across Southeast AsiaWhy a storage unit full of designer clothes changed everythingBlockchain, venture capital and investing in changeWild swimming, nature and coming back to yourselfLetting go of controlThe next right choice If you've ever looked around at a life that seems successful and wondered why it doesn't quitefit anymore, this conversation is for you. Because sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop trying to become someone else and startpaying attention to who you've been all along. #TheStrongerStuffShow #SorchaMulligan #WomenInFinance #Fintech #Blockchain #VentureCapital #ImpactInvesting #Motherhood #PostnatalDepression #MentalHealth #WomenInBusiness #FemaleFounders #WildSwimming #Storytelling #ComingAlive#PixieRevolutionStay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong!  Join the community & flex your Stronger Stuff @mystrongerstuff Follow The Stronger Stuff Show:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mystrongerstuff/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61587590469654LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/minna-walker-75130a138 Follow Minna |Artist Pixie Revolution:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pixierevolution/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/minna.walker.10Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100068923526719 Music Credit:Music is written, performed and produced by Minna | Pixie Revolution. © 2026 Pixie Revolution. Whose Life Was I Even Comparing Mine To? | The Music Video That Changed Everything

A month after my burn, Minna was lying on the sofa wrapped in bandages, staring at the ceiling and feeling spectacularly sorry for herself. Then a music video came on. And she had one of those moments that changes everything. Not a lightning bolt. Not a grand epiphany. Just a very simple thought:That's what I want. Music. Minna had always wanted music. The strange part was that none of this was news. Her music teacher had told her mother years earlier:"Minna doesn't realize the talent she has." The first producers Minna worked with said something similar. And yet somehow she'd spent years convincing herself that music was for other people. The confident people. The people who knew exactly who they were. The people who supposedly had it all figured out. Then, lying there being told her legs might be scarred for life, Minna found herself asking a ridiculous question:Whose legs am I even comparing mine to anyway? And suddenly the whole thing started to fall apart. The timelines. The rules. The opinions. The invisible standards she'd been measuring herself against for years. Including one unforgettable comment from an old boss:"Aren't you meant to be like 13 to start a music career?" Apparently not.In this Stronger Sunday Story, Minna shares the moment comparison finally lost its grip and why being physically unable to run away from a realization can sometimes be exactly what you need. Along the way…A music video changed everythingAn old teacher's words came backA burn forced a pauseA ridiculous question revealed the truthMusic refused to go away ... And life got a lot more interesting This isn't really a story about comparison. It's a story about what happens when you finally stop looking at everybody else's life and start paying attention to your own. #TheStrongerStuffShow#StrongerSundayStories #MusicLife #Creativity #Storytelling #ComingAlive#Artists #Confidence #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong! Trauma, the Body & the Truth About Strength - Dr Erica Reid on Healing, Boundaries & our Stronger Stuff

At 11 years old, Erica Reid's appendix burst after doctors repeatedly told her mother she was overreacting. Years later, when Erica went looking for help with painful sex, one doctor suggested she have a glass of wine and try another position. Neither story ended the way it was supposed to. In this episode of The Stronger Stuff Show, Minna sits down with occupational therapist, trauma specialist and founder of Head2Soul Therapy, Dr Erica Reid. What follows is a conversation about the stories we inherit, the things our bodies remember, and why the version of strength many of us were taught might actually be keeping us stuck. We talk about people-pleasing, menopause, boundaries, fascia, nervous systems, pelvic health and the surprising freedom that comes from caring less about what everybody else thinks. Erica shares how decades-old scar tissue from her ruptured appendix continued affecting her body long after the original injury healed. She talks about finally finding answers after years of being told everything was normal. And she tells a story about a horse that refused to cooperate with a group of women trying to control it. The harder they pushed, the further away it moved. Then they stopped trying. The horse walked over. Which turns out to be a pretty good metaphor for life. And relationships. And healing. And pretty much everything else. In This Episode:Why Erica's ruptured appendix changed her lifeThe doctor who told her to "have a glass of wine and try another position"Trauma, fascia and the stories our bodies keepPeople-pleasing, boundaries and authenticityMenopause and finally caring less about approvalWhat horses can teach us about connection and controlThe difference between surviving and actually livingErica's ABCs: Authenticity, Boundaries and Curiosity If you've spent years being the strong one, this conversation might make you rethink what strength actually is. #TheStrongerStuffShow #DrEricaReid #TraumaHealing #Menopause #PeoplePleasing #Boundaries #NervousSystemHealing #PelvicHealth #Fascia #MidlifeWomen #GenXWomen #WomenOver50 #StrongerStuff Stay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong! The Burn That Brought Me Back | The Accident That Stopped My Life

One Sunday afternoon Minna accidentally poured a pot of boiling water down both her legs. Within hours she was in hospital. The next morning being told she'd need extensive skin grafts. And for the first time in a very long time, there was nowhere left to run. In the first Stronger Sunday Story, Minna shares the accident that stopped her life in its tracks. What starts as a story about burns quickly becomes a story about something else entirely. Because lying on a sofa covered in bandages gives you a lot of time to think. Especially when you've spent years staying busy enough not to. We talk about London, ambition, coping, pretending everything is fine, becoming "that person" everyone stares at in the emergency room, and the uncomfortable realization that sometimes your body tells the truth long before you're ready to hear it. Along the way...The cold that changed everythingThe emergency room became a reality checkSkin grafts entered the conversationThe bathroom mirror got brutally honestLife became very smallAnd something much bigger beganThis isn't really a story about burns. It's a story about what happens when life stops you long enough to pay attention. ⚠️ This episode contains descriptions of a serious burn injury. #TheStrongerStuffShow #StrongerSundayStories #BurnInjury #LifeChangingMoments #Storytelling#ComingAlive #LondonLife #Creativity #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong! Creativity, Grief, Friendship, Menopause & Building a Life on Your Own Terms - Maite Gómez-Rejón

Chef, art historian, ArtBites founder and Eva Longoria’s Hungry for History co-host, Maite Gómez-Rejón joins Minna for a conversation about creativity, culture, friendship, grief, reinvention and building a life on your own terms. Maite grew up on the Texas-Mexico border where crossing between countries was as normal as crossing the street.  One minute she was telling her mom she was away on a Catholic retreat. The next she was sitting in a nightclub across the border with a liter of scotch, a cigarette in her hand and her photo in the local newspaper. Her mother found the clipping. Maite thought she was dead. Instead, it became one of many stories that helped shape a life filled with curiosity, adventure and saying yes to unexpected paths. From growing up between cultures to building a creative life on her own terms, Maite shares thestories, risks and experiences that shaped her journey. Together, Minna and Maite talk about:Growing up between Mexico and TexasBuilding ArtBites and turning curiosity into a careerWorking alongside Eva Longoria on Hungry for HistoryCreativity, entrepreneurship and following unlikely pathsFriendship, community and the people who carry us throughMenopause, midlife and feeling like yourself againTrusting your instincts when the red light comes onGrief, loss and the lasting influence of a remarkable father Maite's father was a psychiatrist who opened the first mental health clinic in South Texas. He believed in serving others, trusted people before they trusted themselves and taught Maite lessons she still carries with her today. This conversation travels from Times Square billboards to border towns, from girlfriends' weekends to grief, from champagne in French gardens to life-changing advice from parents who saw something special long before the rest of the world did. And somewhere in the middle, you'll learn why Maite's mother remains completely unimpressed by Times Square. #TheStrongerStuffShow #MaiteGomezRejon #HungryForHistory #EvaLongoria #ArtBites #Creativity #Entrepreneurship #Storytelling #Culture #Friendship #Menopause #Midlife#FoodHistory #WomenWhoCreate #PixieRevolutionStay Connected:If you loved this episode please follow us and share it to keep the show going strong!
