Episode 3 traces the rise of Western esotericism from the hidden grimoires of the Middle Ages through the Renaissance occult philosophy of Agrippa, the angelic visions of John Dee, and the occult revival of Éliphas Lévi - culminating in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. As ancient systems of Hermeticism, Kabbalah, ritual magic, and mysticism converged into a modern initiatory movement, a new vision of the self began to emerge: one centered on transformation, will, and hidden spiritual power.
