Commencement: Wisdom for What's Next | Wisdom in Anxious Times

Commencement: Wisdom for What’s Next is a four-week sermon series about discovering new beginnings even in difficult seasons. Graduation season reminds us that life is always unfolding, and God still meets us in moments of transition, reinvention, and uncertainty. Together, we’ll explore how biblical wisdom helps us move forward with courage, hope, and resilience—even in stressful times. Commencement is also for anyone rethinking or rebuilding their faith. If you are deconstructing, asking deeper questions, or searching for a more honest and mature spirituality, Commencement offers space to begin again. God is not afraid of our questions, and sometimes faith is not falling apart—it is growing into something deeper, wiser, and more authentic.

Unanxious | Unanxious Love That Endures

In a time of constant uncertainty and global upheaval, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and reactive. The outrage machine of our culture pulls us toward fear, anger, and division. In Unanxious: Following Jesus in a Fear-Driven World, we’ll explore how Jesus invites us into a different way of living—grounded, present, and rooted in trust rather than panic. We’ll wrestle with how to follow Jesus when truth feels distorted by misinformation and competing narratives. How do we stay centered when every voice demands our allegiance? This series will offer practices for discerning truth, resisting manipulation, and living with steady, hopeful faith in confusing times. We’ll also face the deeper anxieties many carry—fear of AI and economic change, along with concerns about health, aging, and mortality. Rather than avoiding these realities, we’ll learn how Jesus meets us in them, forming us into people shaped not by fear, but by courage, compassion, and love.

Easter 2026 | Stay Human, Fully Alive

This Lent, we invite you into Stay Human—a journey rooted in the conviction that following Jesus isn’t about escaping our humanity, but fully embracing it. In a world that pushes us to perform, numb out, or power through, Jesus shows us another way. He weeps, gets tired, feels compassion, and confronts injustice with courage. To follow Christ is to become more truly human—grounded, honest, and alive to God and one another. Throughout the season, we’ll walk with Jesus through the Gospel of Mark, the most raw and down-to-earth of the four Gospels. Mark doesn’t polish Jesus into a distant superhero; he shows us a Savior who is present in the mess of real life—moved by suffering, frustrated by hard hearts, and deeply attentive to the people right in front of him. Stay Human is an invitation to resist what dehumanizes us and rediscover what makes us whole. If you’re weary, overwhelmed, or longing for a faith that connects with real life, this Lent is for you.

Questions and Doubts Welcome | What Does the Bible Say About LGBTQ+ Rights and Abortion?

If thinking people do not have a safe place to acknowledge their questions and doubts, those unanswered questions can become a barrier in their spiritual lives. Our mission at The Well is to create a community where thinking, compassionate people can find a spiritual home and cultivate a Jesus inspired life. So we want to be a church where thinking people can be intellectually honest about their questions and doubts and come to a faith that is vital to them. Forty-six of you submitted a question based on this prompt, "If you could ask God one question about faith, the Bible, or life, what would it be?" Pastor Ryan organized your questions into a seven-week series starting this Sunday, in which he will give your questions that thoughtful treatment they deserve.

Disarming Leviathan | Interview with Caleb Campbell

Our 2025 Fall All-Church Study — Disarming Leviathan: Loving Your Christian Nationalist Neighbor — begins October 12. Perhaps you have witnessed family members or friends fall prey to Christian nationalism, the belief that church and state should no longer be separated, with the government actively enforcing right wing politics under the guise of Christianity. If you have, you are not alone. From the book: Pastor Campbell has watched as Christian nationalism has taken over large swaths of the United States. And he has suffered the relational fallout of standing against it in both his community and his church... Christian nationalism is a worldview irreconcilable with Christianity... and the author equips Christians to minister to their Christian nationalist neighbors with the love and freedom of Jesus Christ.

The Game: Life Lessons From Sports | Playing Hard to the End

On August 3, we'll begin a brand new series of sermons entitled The Game: Life Lessons from Sports. Not everyone is a sports fan, of course, but even those who aren't know that many life lessons can be learned from the world of sports. Grit, toughness, determination, the importance of practice and goal-setting, how to face adversity, how to both win and lose gracefully, and how to believe in your God-given abilities are common lessons, among many others. Some members of The Well have even weighed in with bits of wisdom from your own sports experience. During the series, we'll see how common sports metaphors are in Scripture and how the lessons we learn in sports are closely related to biblical wisdom for life.

The Game: Life Lessons From Sports | Practice Makes Perfect... and Permanent
