We ARE better together. But how do we bridge faith leaders with marketplace leaders? Nick Nye- Executive Director of For Columbus, gave us some insight into the power of collaborative moments via redemptive entrepreneurship and testimonies of how God is being worshiped and glorified in the Columbus marketplace. We talk about egos, sacrifice and what it looks like to chill. Nick Nye has led as a church planter, church revitalizer, multi-site lead pastor, non-profit founder, church planting network board member, speaker, and leadership coach. He has also lived and worked in urban environments, serving a wide range of socio-economically and culturally diverse populations in both the Midwest and New York City. Nick is currently working toward a city-wide gospel movement in Columbus, Ohio. He works with marketplace leaders, specialty ministries, and congregational leadership to see gospel-centered collaboration for the city's flourishing. Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in world religion and a master of divinity in missiology and church planting. He also has multiple certificates in leadership coaching. As a leader in various roles in diverse contexts, Nick has raised up and worked with countless leaders around the world. He is passionate about developing the CORE pillars of his leadership journey so that others can begin flourishing in their own leadership journey. Ursula Kemp walks us through a worshipful life of prayer, gathered and personal…and the power of just showing up. Ursula Kemp grew up in a Christian home on a farm in Pataskala, Ohio. She became a committed follower of Jesus at an early age. After college, she spent years training and competing in the equestrian version of the triathlon. She then studied biomedical engineering at OSU for her Master's Degree. In 2014 she began to help steward the citywide Pray for Columbus network. Authenticity, Performance and the Posture of the Bride
Tara Stewart gives us a perspective of the Bride of Christ, how worship is often measured and being vulnerable with each other. Tara is the Worship and Fine Arts Pastor at Oasis City Church in Westerville, OH. She studied Christian Counseling at Valley Forge Christian College and Church Music at Brownsville Revival School of Ministry. After graduating, she married her husband, Adam Stewart, and they served as Youth Pastors at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Garlington, for over six years. In 2011, they left Pittsburgh and planted Oasis City Church with their best friends in the suburbs of Columbus,OH. They have three children: Judah (17), Silas (14), and Shiloh (10). Tara is passionate about building multicultural Kingdom worship, contending for the Presence of God wherever she goes while equipping others to do the same.
