And He is the eternal King, the promised Son of David whose kingdom will never fail.When we understand Christ’s threefold office, we begin to read the Old Testament differently. Moses, David, Solomon, the prophets, the priesthood, the sacrifices, and the kingdom are not isolated stories. They are part of a larger story pointing us to Christ.As Jesus taught after His resurrection, “in all the Scriptures” the things concerning Himself were revealed (Luke 24:27).We need Christ.He is the Prophet we must hear, the Priest we can trust, and the King we must follow.
