    Life's Periods (Sun)

The period that defines who you areThe Sun represents identity, purpose, and direction. When it becomes active, life has a way of bringing you into focus. There’s less room for negotiating (Venus) and more pressure to stand in your own authority. This week’s episode explores how Sun periods shape your path forward.

    Life's Periods (Venus)

When the beauty of existence reveals itself After the uncertainty of Ketu, Venus brings you back into the world of sensual pleasure, happiness, and appreciation. I once heard from a client who had entered their Venus period, who said it was like "a soft landing, after being in freefall."After the shadows come connection, beauty, desire, and relationship. But Venus isn’t just about love—it’s about what you value. And what or who you attract into your life. During a Venus period, life often becomes fuller. An experience of pleasure in itself is quite nice. Having experienced a period of Ketu previously, i.e., a period of loss, those pleasures are something altogether more enjoyable. If you were immortal, pleasures would soon lose their sheen. In this week’s episode, I explore how Venus periods unfold.

    May 2026 Vedic Astrology Forecast

May could feel like a mixed bag, bringing both a sense of ease and challenges. You may seek pleasure where you can, especially amid turbulence in the world. There can be a tendency to overindulge as a way to cope or reward yourself, so it’s worth being mindful of excess.Mars will move out of the uncertainty of Pisces by May 11 and step into Aries for a more energised period. Until then, the Sun helps out in Aries through the first half of the month, supporting confidence, even if things are unclear. By the time Mars moves in, it adds a renewed sense of courage and initiative, but also more impulsivity. In the world at large, we could see more fighting. With Mars, the planet of war, in Aries, the sign of war, we’re building into a more volatile period, which, by the time Mars meets with Uranus in July, sets things off in a more dramatic way, especially as it squares the lunar nodes. No transit exists in a void, so we must factor Mars’ transit through Aries into what’s going to happen in July. Typically, this means wars (Aries) leading to issues with recourses (Taurus), which later impacts those in leadership roles, as Mars in Taurus squares Leo.As Mercury enters Taurus on May 14, Venus enters Gemini, which means they are exchanging signs. This bodes well for negotiating the best terms for all concerned, even if Mars wants what it wants, regardless. For some, this may express itself as being able to do the necessary while being able to compromise. We’re heading into a more positive period by the end of May, as Mercury, Venus, and Mars line up in strength, and Jupiter makes its way towards exaltation. When planets are in a stronger position, even a ‘cruel’ planet like Mars, we tend to see them at their best.By the time Jupiter enters Cancer by June 1, making May the last month Jupiter transits Gemini, we're in a better place, even if it’s initially only in our expectations.

    Full Moon in Libra (Svātī)

The Full Moon, which occurs at 18:23 BST/ 13:23 EDT on May 1, is in Svātī, a lunar mansion known for scattering energy. Its symbol, a sprout blowing in the wind, reflects movement and change, and its ruler, Vāyu—the god of wind—speaks to strength developed through instability. Libra itself is about balance and discernment. What appears as indecision is often a careful weighing of options before committing. This Full Moon is aspected by the North Node (Rahu), closely tied to Svātī, and Jupiter in Gemini, which adds to a sense of mental and energetic dispersion. Yet Venus, ruler of Libra, is strong and more grounded in Taurus, showing the potential to stabilise and direct this energy productively. As the Moon moves into Scorpio, passing through Viśākhā, the tone shifts from diffusion to decision. Once a direction is chosen, momentum builds quickly. The Full Moon reminds us that release is part of progress. Letting go of what is no longer needed creates space for what comes next. The Sun is strong during this phase, exalted in Aries, amplifying vitality and confidence. This strength is reflected in the Moon, lending an overall positive tone. Even so, emotions may run high, with a sense of excitement and movement in the air.

    Life's Periods (Ketu)

When Everything Starts to Fall Away There are times in life when things don’t just change; they dissolve. Plans fall away. Identity loosens its grip. What once felt solid no longer holds its ground. In astrology, this is often the domain of Ketu, the South Lunar Node.Ketu doesn’t build (usually), it strips things back to their essence. It removes what you’ve outgrown, whether you’re ready to let go or not. It can feel disorienting. But it also opens something deeper. This week, I’ve begun a new series on the planetary periods (daśās), starting with Ketu—the most misunderstood of them all.If you’ve ever felt like life was pulling you inward, away from external focus, this may explain why. This is one of the planetary periods in my book, Daśā Vidyā. The book explores how these periods unfold over time, not just as external events, but as lived experiences that shape your inner world. Ketu’s periods, in particular, reveal how loss and uncertainty can quietly redirect you toward something more essential.

    Rohiṇī: The Comfortable One

Kishori joins me in the next episode of our Maps of Consciousness series as we explore the lunar mansion of Rohiṇī. Often described as the most alluring of the nakṣatras, Rohiṇī is what I like to call the comfortable one. It carries a passionate and fertile quality, radiating warmth, beauty, and sensual pleasure. This is a creative and nourishing space in the zodiac — a place where life seeks to grow, flourish, and take form. Its symbol, the chariot, evokes movement toward prosperity, comfort, and abundance, reflecting Rohiṇī’s natural capacity to cultivate something both beautiful and enduring.

    New Moon in Aries (Aśvinī)

The New Moon in Aries makes it feel as though the year is finally getting underway. Although the Lunar New Year begins with the New Moon in Pisces, Aries transits often feel more decisive, bringing a stronger impulse for new beginnings. This lunation encourages you to start something new in your life—especially as the days following lead into Akṣaya Tritiya, traditionally one of the most auspicious times of the year for initiating important actions. The New Moon occurs in Aśvinī, the lunar mansion I call “the swift one.” True to its nature, it supports fresh starts after the endings that typically accompany the previous Pisces cycle. There is an important lesson embedded in this time of year: every new beginning requires letting go of an old way of being. As one part of the zodiac closes, another opens. While earlier in the year we are often completing what was previously begun, this period brings new opportunities we are eager to engage with. That said, there are still several caveats to keep in mind. Mercury, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune are all gathered closely together in Pisces, forming a dense cluster that may make it feel as though the past is lingering. Even as new beginnings appear, some endings may still be unfolding, leaving us feeling temporarily stuck.Despite this, the Sun’s exaltation in Aries is something to celebrate. Whatever is still resolving behind the scenes, you may at least feel a growing sense of confidence about your next step. One final caution: a New Moon in Aśvinī can encourage impulsive action. If you feel eager to move forward—perhaps because you’ve felt held back for too long—it may be wise to pause before rushing ahead.By all means, begin something as this new energy enters your life again, but consider waiting until April 19, when both the Sun and Moon are exalted, and the Moon has begun waxing once more. Until then, the dark phase of the Moon—the New Moon itself—is better suited to planting seeds rather than acting too quickly.

  8. 170

    Full Moon in Virgo (Hasta)

The Full Moon in Hasta, the ‘hand’ in sidereal Virgo, brings focus, clarity, and precision. It’s an excellent time to be productive and attend to practical tasks. With so much uncertainty in Pisces, use this energy to focus on small, manageable details you can get to grips with.Virgo balances the Piscean influence of the Sun, Saturn, Neptune, and Mars, which can bring both inspiration and confusion—all at once. The remedy is simple: get organised and take practical steps for this Full Moon phase. This might be as small as tidying your desk, or as significant as putting parts of your life back in order.Hasta sits in the middle of Virgo, where Mercury is exalted, making it one of the most skilful and dexterous lunar mansions. However, Mercury moves into Pisces by April 10, so it’s wise to organise things now, before delays or confusion set in. A helpful exchange between Mercury in Pisces and Jupiter in Gemini will offer some support, but clarity may still elude you.The solution is both simple and complex: bring things into order first, then let go. Yet balance isn’t about constant surrender, but about accepting what cannot be improved. A little organisation now will make the coming weeks much easier to navigate.

    April 2026 Sidereal Astrology

Communication, travel, and trade challenges escalate in April as Mercury and Mars enter Pisces. While we try to maintain an even keel, we may be at a loss. Though Mercury is weak in Pisces, it exchanges signs with Jupiter in Gemini. This lends itself to a deeper understanding than might be apparent at first glance. But you must take the rough with the smooth in April, as Mars’s conjunction with Saturn and Neptune, which coincides with Mercury’s conjunction, may leave you unsure how to respond. Things may feel like they’re speeding up and slowing down at the same time.Mars conjunct Neptune alone makes things unclear. Best keep your interpretation of events wide open. It is a more creative time, although some would use this time to be creative with the truth.Venus spends much of the month in Aries before moving into Taurus. You must be mindful of potential tensions when it seems harder to get along. Together with Mercury in Pisces, conjunct Mars, Saturn, and Neptune, you may indeed say the very thing that gets you into trouble. Tap into the discernment of Jupiter in Gemini.Peace negotiations are likely a significant theme, given the ongoing wars that exacerbate problems in global structures. As tensions escalate, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain a level head and respond rationally.Together with Mars, conjunct Neptune and Saturn in Pisces, the most obvious manifestation is the blockage of oil in the Middle East, likely due to increased fighting. This is likely to create disruptions in the economy and energy infrastructure, which is a larger story that must unfold in the coming months.Though these transits may feel disruptive, they also bring the changes many of us are ready to embrace. By the end of April, Venus enters Taurus, and we become more appreciative of life’s simple pleasures, perhaps because many in the world are without even the basics. As the planet of love and beauty moves through its home sign, there is much to be grateful for. However, one important caveat: Venus conjoins Uranus in Taurus, once again shaking up resources and relationships, whether personal or global.April sees all the visible planets gathered on one side of the Lunar Nodes, creating a more pronounced sense of imbalance and a divisive atmosphere. Weather patterns may also be more extreme. The coming months are likely to be more extreme in various unusual and unpredictable ways. When everything is this polarised, events often push us toward one side or the other.Fortunately, the Sun’s yearly exaltation in Aries from mid-April to mid-May restores a sense of confidence and initiative. It reminds us that we still have the strength to confront whatever challenges the month may bring, of which there are likely to be more than a few.

New Moon in Pisces (Uttara Bhādrapada) – Lunar New Year

This New Moon on March 19 at 01.23 UT marks the Lunar New Year in the Vedic calendar, signalling an important reset for 2026 and setting the tone until the next New Moon in Pisces in April 2027.The New Moon falls in Uttara Bhādrapadā, 'the latter auspicious steps', a lunar mansion in the heart of sidereal Pisces. This brings emotional depth and moral gravity, but also a necessary slowness — especially with Saturn and Neptune moving deliberately through the sign.Uttara Bhādrapadā is empathetic and virtuous, capable of carrying collective feeling, yet it can also require withdrawal and solitude to process the bigger changes. A New Moon naturally calls for retreat, and this Lunar New Year marks a particularly meaningful pause and reset.Be patient with the changes unfolding now. They are slow by necessity, laying the groundwork for changes that are real, enduring, and deeply rooted.

Full Moon in Leo (Pūrva Phālgunī) – Total Lunar Eclipse

The Full Moon in Leo is a total lunar eclipse, reaching its maximum at 11:33 am GMT on March 3. Whether or not it’s visible where you are, this is not an eclipse to observe outwardly. Instead, it invites stillness, as the Sun, Moon, Earth, and Lunar Nodes align. This alignment offers a moment of resolution. It's a chance to connect the dots and bring closure to matters linked with this area of your life.Collectively, we’re likely to see revelations or reckonings involving leaders and authority figures. A clear example is the ongoing release of the 'Epstein files', exposing the decay at the heart of leadership and celebrity culture. With Ketu, the South Node, involved, there is a stripping away, reduction, or removal of what no longer holds. The eclipse occurs in Pūrva Phālgunī, 'the former fruitful one', highlighting the darker side of fame, pleasure, and celebrity. These themes have been intensifying since Ketu entered Leo last year and are now reaching resolution. On a personal level, this eclipse illuminates our own relationship with authority, autonomy, and self-expression. There is also the risk of projection: as Rāhu conjoins the Sun, a kind of mob mentality can emerge, demanding punishment or scapegoats. Groupthink may seek blood rather than understanding.Yet this is still a Full Moon in Pūrva Phālgunī — a creative, pleasure-seeking lunar mansion — celebrated in India as Holi, the festival of colours. Joy, creativity, and sensuality remain available, provided we acknowledge the shadow that accompanies this eclipse.

March 2026 Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)

March is a divisive, electrically charged month, with all visible planets aligned on one side of the Lunar Nodes. Mars and a retrograde Mercury conjunct the North Node in Aquarius stir unrest, misinformation, and nervous energy, while the ongoing Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Pisces continues to dissolve idealism we can no longer rely on. The compensating factor is Venus exalted in Pisces, offering moments of grace, compassion, and connection amid the frenetic energy. Discernment is more possible, as Jupiter stations direct, keeping a close eye on proceedings.Venus in Pisces (March 1–25)Venus moves through its sign of exaltation, acting as the month’s primary stabiliser. While it must pass through the Saturn–Neptune conjunction, it offers emotional softness, creative refuge, and spiritual connection. This supports compassion and empathy, but also warns against idealisation and escapism. Venus here can lift us above the chaos, but also asks us to stay grounded in reality.Full Moon in Leo — Total Lunar Eclipse (March 3)This total lunar eclipse marks a culmination and reckoning, particularly around leadership, authority, fame, and power dynamics. With Ketu involved, there is a stripping away — exposure, reduction, or removal of what no longer aligns with the groundswell movement in Aquarius. Personally, this eclipse asks for reflection on autonomy, self-expression, and projection. Collectively, it can fuel groupthink and scapegoating, even as it brings necessary revelations. Stillness, rather than reaction, is the wiser response.Jupiter Stations Direct in Gemini (March 11)Jupiter’s direct station begins a slow restoration of perspective. Though uncomfortable in Gemini, Jupiter here encourages reassessment of information, narratives, and assumptions. This is not instant clarity, but a shift toward wiser discernment. It’s a moment to pause, review what you know, and accept that decisions may still need to be provisional as the bigger picture emerges.Mars and Mercury Conjunct the North Node (March 13–15)This is one of the most volatile signatures of the month. Mars conjoined Rahu exaggerates drive, anger, and nervous tension before depletion sets in. Energy spikes are followed by burnout; action without awareness leads to disruption. This transit correlates with unrest, accidents, blackouts, tech issues, and erratic behaviour. The demand is for new strategies, not brute force. Persistence without adaptability may backfire.Sun in Pisces (March 14 – April 12)The Sun joins Saturn and Neptune, spotlighting leadership crises, power struggles, and confusion about direction. This exposes weaknesses, dissolving outdated structures. Though heavy, it offers the potential for humility, reflection, and recalibration — especially if ego is set aside. Equinox (March 20)The Equinox marks a threshold moment — a balance point between light and dark. With the New Moon and Lunar New Year occurring the day before, this period calls for slowness, attentiveness, and conscious transition. Rather than pushing forward, this is a moment to sense where the year is truly heading.New Moon in Pisces — Lunar New Year (March 19)This New Moon begins the Vedic year Parābhava, associated with decline, defeat, and the fall of entrenched power. Occurring in Uttara Bhādrapadā, it carries emotional gravity, moral seriousness, and the need for retreat. This is a deep reset — slow, deliberate, and foundational. The changes seeded now unfold over the coming year, demanding patience and trust in a longer arc of change.Mercury Stations Direct (March 21)Mercury’s station brings the sense that movement is possible again, but with an important caveat: it remains tightly conjunct Rahu. While ideas and plans begin to take shape, confusion and distortion persist. This is a preparatory phase, not a moment for final decisions. Keep options open and allow clarity to mature into April.

    Saturn-Neptune Conjunction - All Signs

"Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach."In this special sign-based forecast for the Timeline Astrology podcast, I dive into the Saturn–Neptune conjunction for each sign. This once-in-a-generation alignment dissolves old patterns while demanding realism. Saturn’s reality meets Neptune’s ideals, urging you to confront what’s been ignored, clarify what's truly possible, and learn to build your vision rather than merely fantasising about it.

  14. 164

New Moon in Aquarius (Dhaniṣṭhā) - Solar Eclipse

This New Moon in Aquarius falls in Dhaniṣṭhā and takes the form of an annular solar eclipse. This is a highly charged reset. The eclipse is hemmed in by powerful planetary forces: Mars and Pluto on one side, Saturn and Neptune on the other, with Venus exactly conjunct Rahu. Mercury is drawn into the mix, while Jupiter aspects from Gemini and is itself aspected by Rahu. Everything is activated.Even without the eclipse, the Saturn–Neptune conjunction signals profound shifts in global structures. Although the eclipse path is largely over Antarctica, symbolism matters: previously unseen landscapes are being revealed even here, mirroring how hidden realities are coming to light elsewhere.Dhaniṣṭhā is ruled by the Vasudevas, the eight elemental deities that together provide everything needed to accomplish a goal. For this reason, it is closely tied to alliances, coordination, and collective purpose - an Aquarius theme. Under an eclipse, however, some alliances are breaking while others are forged. These changes rarely occur on the exact date; the eclipse serves as a pivot point for developments already underway and those yet to unfold.Globally, this points to major realignments in power blocs and partnerships, with organisations such as NATO being one visible expression. Seismic activity may also accompany this period, but it may also simply be figurative. Personally, this eclipse asks you to observe how all the elements in this area of your life are coming together - or falling apart - so that something can be reconfigured. Eclipses mark changes that must happen, regardless of preference, and emotions tend to run high around them.By the lunar eclipse on March 3, you’re more likely to reach clarity or resolution around what this reset has set in motion. The night before the New Moon and eclipse, the 14th lunar day of the dark fortnight, is called Mahā-Śivarātri, the ‘great night of Śiva’. Śiva wears the crescent Moon in his hair, a symbol of the Moon's resetting of time. This year, this is an even more powerful reset because it’s an eclipse; a vigil at the edge of dissolution, where everything falls silent for a time.

  15. 163

    Full Moon in Cancer (Āśleṣā)

The Full Moon in Cancer is associated with themes of safety and emotional security. With so much change unfolding across the zodiac in Capricorn, reflected in structures of the world, concerns around home and safety naturally come to the foreground.Capricorn governs both large and small systems, many of which are being reshaped by Pluto’s ongoing transit, creating a collective sense of instability. Every Full Moon in Cancer asks us to balance our need for security with the changes we cannot avoid. If you’ve been overly focused on worldly matters, this Full Moon invites you to reconnect with your feelings, regardless of what you think you should be doing. Conversely, if you’ve been avoiding something, this is a moment to examine why you act as you do. In many ways, how you feel matters more than anything else. External events affect each of us differently depending on our emotional state. The Moon reflects the fluctuations of mind and mood, shaping how we respond from moment to moment. This Full Moon is in Āśleṣā, a lunar mansion known for its binding qualities that mirror our thoughts and emotions. Āśleṣā reflects our attachment style and tends toward manipulation, though this is not inherently negative. When handled consciously, it involves working with mental states and feelings to transmute them. Like serpent venom, the poisons of the mind can be used as medicine. Its symbol, a coiled serpent, points to kuṇḍalinī śakti and the capacity to transform difficult or toxic thoughts and emotions into healing forces.

February 2026 Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)

By February, several planets move into Aquarius, converging with the North Node Rahu and hemmed in by Mars and Saturn. This pressure can correlate with major disruptions, such as seismic activity affecting the oceans, and intensified geopolitical stress triggered by extreme events.A powerful annular solar eclipse opens the door to important changes and conversations, shining a spotlight on what may be possible moving forward. Yet alignments with Rahu can also distort perception, as the Sun's light is temporarily blocked. With the eclipse occurring in the lunar mansion associated with alliances (Dhaniṣṭhā), we may see more alterations and moving parts in the world order.Insight and exaggeration always sit close together during an eclipse, and there is a risk of moving from a genuine truth into faulty logic or conspiracy. Remaining as detached and clear-minded as possible is essential, acting in ways that serve the wider good. This is the best of what an Aquarius eclipse has to offer.Yet clarity may be especially difficult this month, as Saturn and Neptune conjoin by exact degree shortly after the eclipse. If something is not completely eclipsed, it’s out of focus and blurry. And with nearly all the planets conjoined the eclipse or hemming it in, everyone is impacted.Fear of the truth can obscure it. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction carries the potential for either delusion or a sobering realisation, with one perhaps leading to the other. An open mind is crucial as you figure out which is which.Despite the sense of urgency leading to the eclipse, ask yourself if it’s the best time to make any definitive decisions or statements while all is in flux. What should feel solid may instead feel fragile. Extreme flooding is one of the more obvious possible expressions of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction combined with an eclipse, and there may be an event that captures global attention, accompanied by a shared sense of shock and sadness.Adding to the complexity, Mercury turns retrograde in Aquarius toward the end of February and reconnects with Rahu through March. Mars also enters Aquarius by the end of February, increasing the likelihood of flare-ups, technical problems, and friction of all kinds.Uranus stations direct in February, which can restore forward momentum while also accelerating change, particularly around resources and the economy. When a planet slows in its transit, it becomes stronger and more able to effect change, either through events or within the collective psyche. Uranus’ station in Taurus reflects shifts in resources and in how we find new ways to create stability. Saturn’s aspect to Uranus holds it back somewhat, but eventually the dam breaks. With so much instability and change in February, the more open to change you can be, the better off you will be.

    New Moon in Capricorn (Uttarāṣāḍha)

This New Moon marks an important new start for 2026. It’s not the enthusiastic beginning to the New Year. It’s a sober appraisal of what is realistically possible. Every New Moon is a beginning, and this one is a reality check. As the big hopes of Sagittarius settle into Capricorn’s practical terrain, we are asked to see which dreams can be made real. Depending on how grounded your expectations are, this may feel like either hitting the ground running or watching unrealistic hopes fade into the distance. The Moon is in Uttarāṣāḍha, meaning ‘the latter invincible’. It speaks of responsible actions and austerity. It is ruled by Viśvadeva, the universal gods, the powers that support growth and success. Its symbols are the planks of a bed and an elephant, one pointing to the need for austerity and the other pointing to an unstoppable momentum once you get going. The symbol of the elephant also connects to Gaṇeśa, the ‘remover of obstacles’. Unlike Pūrvāṣāḍhā, the ‘former invincible’, Uttarāṣāḍha is when the momentum becomes unstoppable.Pluto remains the great obstacle here, however, but it’s also showing you what is blocking your way forward. You can either overcome the blocks by facing your fears and limitations, using these as focusing mechanisms, or circumvent them for now. Best to deal with them head-on so they don’t trip you up later.

    Full Moon in Gemini (Ārdrā)

The Full Moon opens the year with optimism and curiosity about what lies ahead. The Moon is conjoined Jupiter in Gemini, in the lunar mansion Ārdrā, ruled by Rudra, the ‘god of storms’, emotional and otherwise. This combination amplifies big ideas, restless thinking, and a sense of possibility, as we resolve some conflict.Jupiter and the North Node (Rahu) aspect each other, showing more creative potential, if also more delusion than is ideal. The ongoing Saturn–Neptune conjunction in Pisces increases confusion, illusion, or misplaced faith. In short, many bold ideas may be forming for the New Year, but not all of them will be realistic. The Sun conceals Mars and Venus in Sagittarius, both squared by Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. Clarity is forthcoming, only when we look within for the truth. This Full Moon isn’t about defining what’s real or achievable just yet. That phase arrives once planets begin moving into Capricorn by mid-January.For now, use Jupiter’s brightness and buoyancy in Gemini to spark ideas and explore possibilities. Gemini excels at playing devil’s advocate, considering many different options. The Full Moon’s conjunction with Jupiter in Gemini can flip narratives back and forth, but it can also reveal a broader intelligence beyond simple ideas of ‘good’ and ‘bad.’. In that space, something more integrated can begin to emerge for 2026.

Christmas, Saturnalia, and the Moving Solstice

When we speak about the winter Solstice as a celebration of the Sun’s rebirth in the northern hemisphere, we must also acknowledge an astronomical fact: The Solstice no longer occurs in the same star sign it once did.The seasonal cycle is fixed, but the stellar backdrop has shifted, and with it, the symbolism and meaning of our Solstice - and Christmas - celebrations.Precession of the Equinoxes (and Solstices)The slow backwards drift of the Equinoxes - and Solstices - approximately 1° every 72 years, is caused by the precession of Earth’s axis. Over millennia, this causes the Tropical zodiac (seasonal) and the Sidereal zodiac (star-based) to separate. In Indian astrology, this drift is measured using different ayanāṁśa, with citrapakṣa used as the midpoint of the lunar mansion citrā – 0° Sidereal Libra - marked by the ‘fixed star’ Spica. This point acts as a stellar anchor for the beginning of the opposite 0° Sidereal Aries.Approximately 2,500 years ago, the Equinoxes and Solstices aligned closely with the beginning of the cardinal Sidereal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). However, since then, these have been slowly moving backwards through the stars, i.e., the Sidereal zodiac.

  22. 156

    New Moon in Sagittarius (Mūla)

The Moon meets the Sun at the beginning of Sagittarius, in the lunar mansion Mūla. Mūla means 'root', pointing both to our cosmic origins (the galactic centre viewed through this sign), and to our personal and collective roots as a family and as a species. These themes often rise to the surface as we enter the holidays and reconnect with relatives we may not see all year.Mūla helps us get to the root of things, revealing long-held beliefs that need to be released. Its symbol, a bunch of roots, also speaks to healing, especially through herbs. This is a time when family wounds can be healed, but the process can cut deep as buried issues come to light.Mūla is ruled by Niritti, the 'goddess of destruction', reminding us that anything standing in the way of truth must be cleared. At the Christmas table, remember that everyone holds their own version of the truth, especially with Jupiter retrograde in Gemini amplifying opinions! With Mars in combustion and Venus crossing the Scorpio–Sagittarius juncture, tensions may rise, and arguments can break out easily. To maintain peace, avoid discussing sensitive topics and simply enjoy your meal - unless you need to clear the air. The New Moon occurs a day before the Solstice, which is itself a turning point, and with Jupiter, the New Moon's ruler, bright at the mid-way point of its retrograde phase. Ultimately, this period is about reconnecting to the truth within, so you can meet the truth within others with more grace.

Darinka Maja joins me to discuss the various indicators of mental health and well-being in the Vedic chart, and how these might be obstructed.

  24. 154

    Full Moon in Taurus (Rohiṇī)

The Full Moon occurs in sidereal Taurus, in the lunar mansion Rohiṇī, which I like to call ‘the comfortable one’. This reflects Taurus’ warm, passionate, and pleasure-seeking nature. Its symbol, a chariot, represents wealth, comfort, and the finer things in life.In myth, Rohiṇī was the Moon’s favourite wife (nakṣatra), and the Moon stayed with her longer than the others. This represents staying longer with what feels good. As the story goes, the Moon was cursed to wax and wane because of this attachment, reminding us that pleasure also has its ups and downs.Still, comfort and enjoyment are essential, represented by this lunar mansion and the ruler of Taurus, Venus. Without the nicer things in life, we have little protection from more challenging experiences, especially those represented by Scorpio, the opposite sign. With many planets, including the Sun, moving through Scorpio at this time, our focus can lean heavily toward what could go wrong. This Full Moon offers a necessary counterbalance. The Full Moon is also at the ‘bending of the nodes’, halfway between the eclipses, which brings a change of fate. Yet this could be a pleasant surprise. A pleasant experience with supportive people can help you address the deeper issues you cannot ignore.

    December 2025 Vedic Astrology Forecast

Jupiter retrogrades back into Gemini on December 5, with planets moving into Sagittarius for a fiery exchange. By the end of the month, a Mercury–Jupiter sign exchange brings more clarity, even if we are still sketchy on the details or feel somewhat confused (Saturn-Neptune).Jupiter’s return to Gemini asks us to review our hopes (9th house) and dreams (12th house) and communicate something more meaningful and truthful. I recently read a report that stated more and more people are posting less and less on social media platforms. This trend reflects Jupiter’s transit in Gemini, where meaningless engagement no longer satisfies. When you’re ready to let go of what is not your purpose, how to achieve your purpose becomes clearer. Saturn stations direct in Pisces, conjunct Neptune, moving long-term goals forward, which must include ending an illusion. Certain things are no longer sustainable, including the ‘AI bubble’ everyone is worried about bursting. Mercury re-enters Scorpio and opposes Uranus on December 10, bringing more revelations. More hidden information resurfaces (Epstein files!) before a more open dialogue emerges later in the month as Mercury enters Sagittarius. We see four planets move from Scorpio to Sagittarius in December. Mars enters Sagittarius on December 7 (square Saturn), followed by the Sun (Dec 15), Venus (Dec 20), and Mercury (Dec 29). These planets are opposite retrograde Jupiter in Gemini, firing up a fight for truth. Yet Saturn’s restrictive gaze may delay full disclosure. If you know your purpose, you’re more likely to fight for it. However, with several planets in combustion (close to the Sun), motivation may be high, but your conviction may blind you to objective reality. The Full Moon in Taurus (Rohiṇī) on December 4 offers warmth and grounding amid uncertain changes during the first week of December, reminding us of the cyclical nature of enjoyment as a necessary counterbalance to Scorpio themes. The New Moon in Sagittarius (Mūla) on December 20 cuts to the chase, bringing both healing and confrontation, especially around family, beliefs, and long-held patterns. This occurs just before the Solstice, which is itself a turning point. As the year ends, Mercury enters Sagittarius and inspires hope and enthusiasm.

How (Not) to Approach Remedies (Part 2) with Marian Babity

In the second part about remedial measures in Indian astrology, I'm joined by Marian Babity, a long-time student of astrology. We discuss what karma is and how best to approach our remedies so they help us align with what is.

    New Moon in Scorpio (Anurādhā)

The Moon reaches its exact degree of debilitation as it joins the Sun and Mercury (retrograde) in Scorpio during the dark lunar phase. This can bring feelings of vulnerability along with deeper insights. Mars’s presence adds strength and renewal.Though Mercury’s retrograde may cause setbacks, this period is ideal for rethinking what or who you are dedicating yourself to. With Jupiter’s supportive aspect, there’s reason for optimism despite challenges, bringing more discernment about what needs to go, so you can focus on what’s important. The New Moon phase begins in Viśākhā, which is about making a decision, before moving into Anurādhā, a sign of loyalty and devotion. Anurādhā, ruled by the god of friendship, Mitra, reflects commitment and steadfast dedication once a decision is made.Yet you may struggle with what to commit to at first, as events realign to help you settle into something more stable. Be mindful not to settle into patterns that no longer serve you.

    Retrograde Planets

How to spot them. What they mean. All planets periodically appear to move backwards in the sky. Retrogrades highlight turning points, where a planet’s influence becomes more complex and internalised. They invite us to slow down, revisit unfinished business, and redirect energy inward for renewal. Whether it’s Mercury stirring up communication issues or Jupiter challenging clarity of purpose, each retrograde reveals distinctive life themes. Critical moments come when planets station—standing still before shifting direction—marking powerful times for reflection and recalibration.

    Kṛttikā: The Sharp One

Kishori joins me to discuss Kṛttikā, the lunar mansion that bridges Aries and Taurus. Kṛttikā means ‘to cut’ and shows a critical nature. Its symbols are a knife and a blade. Its ruling deity is the god of fire. Fire can either warm or burn, and this sign can do both, while blades can be used to heal or to kill.

  30. 148

    Full Moon in Aries (Bharaṇī)

The Full Moon falls in Bharaṇī, a Venus-related lunar mansion. With Venus positioned opposite in Libra, there’s potential for balance amid intensity. Venus’ fiery nature fuels passion and creative expression. Bharaṇī, meaning ‘she who bears’, represents creative power and the endurance required to bring something into being. It teaches that to achieve something, we must release something else.A Full Moon in Aries is typically bold and proactive, and with Mars strong in Scorpio, it is determined. The challenge lies with the Sun, at its exact (?) degree of debilitation (19° Libra). Authority figures or those in leadership roles may need to yield. On a personal level, this calls for awareness of how our actions affect others. If confidence wavers, channel Mars’ courage. Full Moons signify culmination and surrender; this one encourages taking bold action, then letting go of the outcome. Use this potent energy to make something happen, while remembering that compromise invites completion.

  31. 147

    November 2025 Vedic Astrology (Sidereal)

Venus enters Libra by the beginning of November, strengthening the Sun’s weaker position and encouraging cooperation after a period of less-than-ideal relational transits. Fairness may prevail, but tension between Mercury and Mars in Scorpio continues to test peaceful negotiation. When Mercury stations retrograde on November 9, returning to clash with Mars for a second time on November 12, communication issues may resurface, potentially escalating into further conflict. This is likely to show some disturbances in travel and technologies. In our communications, it’s likely to set something off.Mars’ aspect to the North Node (Rahu) in Aquarius triggers revolutionary change, although Saturn’s continued conjunction with Neptune in Pisces adds to the uncertainty that has been ever-present in recent months. This has led to a feeling of being caught between two worlds: between what is (Saturn) and what could be (Neptune).  Jupiter, exalted but retrograde in Cancer, by November 11, brings alternating waves of hope and doubt. Its retrograde at the first degree of Cancer keeps progress feeling stalled, as optimism wavers when results are not forthcoming. This may feel more like Jupiter's debilitation in Capricorn, but remind yourself that it will return here in June 2026. Whatever sense you get of what is possible now, keep the faith if these things are delayed.Supportive links among Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune hint at cautious optimism, even if events don’t unfold as planned in November. Mercury’s retrogression into Libra by November 23 asks us to reassess the details of the negotiations before we can move forward. With Venus moving into Scorpio by November 26, their crossover between Libra and Scorpio is a warning trigger for the end of peaceful conversations, promoting tougher discussions.November is a Mars-type month, with Mars in Scorpio as planets transit alongside, and with the New and Full Moons in Mars’ signs: The New Moon on November 5 is in Aries; the Full Moon on November 20 is in Scorpio.Yet this may not be an obvious Mars-like impulse, as April is, for example. This is when the Sun enters Aries, when we’re generally full of energy and drive to do something new. In November, planets’ transits through Scorpio are more inward and downwards, drilling down into our depths to find the strength within, before we begin anything. With Jupiter holding its ground opposite Pluto in Capricorn, we’re reminded to have faith in meaningful progress, even amid slow or uncertain developments.

  32. 146

    New Moon in Libra (Citrā)

The dark Moon on October 21 marks the darkest period in the Indian astrological year, though the literal darkest days of winter come later. In India, this time is celebrated as Diwali, the festival of lights. The Sun, Moon, and Venus are all in their signs of debilitation — the Sun in Libra, the Moon in Scorpio from October 24–26, and Venus in Virgo, making this a low point. Yet there’s a blessing amid the darkness: Jupiter has just entered exaltation in Cancer, casting its uplifting influence toward the dark themes of Scorpio, as well as Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn. This suggests that, even in times of chaotic change (or because of them), we can better perceive the Divine. Jupiter in Cancer inspires faith, growth, and purpose born from having been lost in the world. The New Moon falls in Citrā nakshatra, meaning brilliant, symbolised by a shining jewel. Its bright star, Spica, reminds us that stars are only visible in the dark. Likewise, our own light often reveals itself through struggle. Citrā, ruled by the celestial architect, encourages us to refine our craft, master our skills, and share our creative gifts (Libra), to sometimes put aside our own needs for others.Though the weather ahead may appear gloomy, Mars and Mercury in Scorpio strengthen courage and determination, helping us dig deep and persevere. Remember: it’s always darkest before the dawn.

  33. 145

    Full Moon in Revatī

The Moon reaches fullness in Revatī, the final lunar mansion, marking a natural point of endings. This Full Moon invites peace through surrender.Letting go is a gradual process, but when we allow things to unfold, we create space for simply being. Pisces reflects the need for withdrawing despite a Full Moon typically being a more social time of the month.Revatī, meaning 'abundant'. It shows the end of a journey, where we have gained much. Even what we lose along the way helps us gain wisdom. Ruled by Pūṣan, a guardian and shepherd deity, Revatī supports us in moving from one life stage to the next. Something may be ending now, even if only a quiet inner shift. Honour it. Take a moment to acknowledge it and release whatever needs to be released.Revatī points to religious faith in the truest sense. This Full Moon invites you to 'let go and let God'. What awaits is already within. The next steps will come when you're ready.

  34. 144

    October Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)

Venus enters Virgo, its sign of debilitation, on October 9. The mood dips, with more fault-finding. Mercury’s exchange with Venus softens the blow: thoughtful words can improve what feels off. The Sun enters Libra on October 17, a yearly low, yet Jupiter’s move into exalted Cancer on October 18 brings hope. Faith grows stronger when darkness descends. Yet Jupiter’s stall at Cancer’s first degree (November 11) before retreating to Gemini on December 6 suggests suspended progress—blueprints must be redrawn before new growth can take root.By October 24, Mercury enters Scorpio, followed by Mars on October 27. Action outweighs words, though words may cut sharply, especially as Venus weakens further, reaching exact debilitation on October 31. This late-October brew may feel like 'double, double toil and trouble,' but meaning—and faith—outlast fleeting moods. Hold fast to what makes life truly worthwhile.

New Moon in Virgo (Uttara Phālgunī) - Solar Eclipse

Two weeks after the Full Moon and total lunar eclipse on September 7, this partial solar eclipse (almost total) releases the built-up emotions, shifting the focus inward as the Sun and Moon align.Though only visible in parts of the southern hemisphere, its effects ripple worldwide. The eclipsed Sun opposes Saturn, highlighting clashes between authority and the masses, with protests and social unrest likely to continue. Mars and Ketu flanking the Sun intensify the sharpness and insist we cut something out.On a personal level, this eclipse invites us to break unhealthy patterns and begin anew. It’s a major reset point in the year. Yet, because it falls in Uttara Phālgunī—linked to commitments and agreements—negotiations with others may be an issue. Caution is necessary in all types of relationships; it is a moment to pause and reflect before making commitments you cannot follow through on.This is also the last day of pitṛpakṣa, the fortnight for the ancestors, with this New Moon being the most important day to honour those who grant your gifts.

  36. 142

Full Moon in Aquarius (Pūrva Bhādrapada)

This Full Moon is a total lunar eclipse that falls in Pūrva Bhādrapadā, with Rāhu eclipsing the Moon. The Moon represents the mind, and Rāhu brings unreality, anxiety, and distortion—though this can also bring innovation.Eclipses shake us from ordinary perceptions, opening possibilities and insights that fuel our evolution, especially in the sign of Aquarius. Jupiter’s aspect offers some stability, but this is obscured by Rāhu, blurring the line between insight and illusion. The days following bring loss and uncertainty as the Sun conjoins Ketu on September 10 and Mercury on September 12, clouding clarity and decision-making. Expect intensity in the coming days, peaking with the lunar eclipse, before a gradual release as the Moon wanes. Use this two-week eclipse window (September 7–21) for reflection, emotional processing, and necessary tasks.

  37. 141

September 2025 Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)

A total lunar eclipse in Aquarius on September 7 sets the tone for a month of upheaval and change, followed by a partial solar eclipse in Virgo on September 21, marking a major reset. In between, the Sun conjoins Ketu on September 10, amplifying rebellion and unrest. These eclipses highlight the lunar nodes in Leo and Aquarius for the first time since entering the signs earlier this year. Expect disruptions in leadership and governance, with scandals and resignations likely to surface.Eclipses stir imbalance, creating urgency without clear direction. Jupiter’s involvement in the lunar eclipse—locked in an exact trine with Rāhu—brings both insights and delusions, making clarity hard to find.On September 12, Mercury joins Ketu, adding mixed messages and unexpected revelations from leaders. Stay open to unconventional solutions.

  38. 140

    New Moon in Leo (Maghā)

The New Moon falls in sidereal Leo and the lunar mansion Maghā. I call it 'The Mighty One'. Its symbols are a royal throne and crown, which denote power, privilege, and entitlement. It is ruled by the ancestors, who grant us whatever privilege we have. Even when we don’t have something we think we should, we feel entitled to complain about it. When this impulse becomes exaggerated, as it will be for this New Moon and subsequent eclipses, powerful figures who misuse their positions are exposed. We could see someone lose their position because of this in the coming months. With Ketu moving through Leo in 2025 and 2026—moving through Maghā in 2026—it strips away entitlements that are not aligned with the greater good (Rāhu in Aquarius). From another, more spiritual perspective, Ketu reminds us that nothing and no one belongs to us. We’re just passing through. Everything is eventually taken back, leaving only the unchanging witness within.

  39. 139

    Bharaṇī - The Productive One

Kishori joins me to look at the second lunar mansion within the star sign (sidereal) Aries: Bharaṇī. Bharaṇī means ‘she who bears’ and represents the power of creation, as well as the forbearance that is required in giving birth to something. The symbol is the female genitalia, and the ruling deity is the god of restraint. Something must be relinquished to achieve a goal. This is a very creative and lustful sign, but also very disciplined - a force to be reckoned with.

  40. 138

    Full Moon in Capricorn (Śravaṇa)

This Full Moon in sidereal Capricorn peaks as Mars opposes Saturn, creating tension and heightened emotions, especially around feelings of restriction or pressure. Capricorn demands patience and focus—qualities needed even more with this intense Mars-Saturn opposition. The Moon aligns with Śravaṇa, the 'star sign of listening', symbolised by an ear and three footsteps. Śravaṇa connects us to knowledge passed down through oral tradition and encourages inward focus, although Full Moons are generally more outgoing. It’s a good time to absorb spiritual teachings, enjoy music, or take short trips—though Mercury opposite the Moon and about to station direct suggests potential delays to be mindful of.Mercury’s shift in direction may stir confusion, particularly as it occurs in Cancer, heightening emotional and mental noise. Communication challenges are likely, so it’s best to slow down and listen before stating anything as fact.

  41. 137

    August 2025 Vedic Astrology Forecast

The month begins with retrograde Mercury meeting the Sun in mid-Cancer, sparking fresh ideas. However, Mercury remains in review mode until August 11, urging caution in planning—especially as both Mercury and the Sun oppose Pluto. After Mercury turns direct, clarity begins to return, though plans may not fully take shape until after August 25, when Mercury clears its 'shadow'.By mid-month, the Sun enters Leo—its sign—and conjoins Ketu, creating both strength and uncertainty ahead of September’s solar eclipse in Virgo. Despite Ketu’s transit through Leo in 2025–26, no solar eclipses occur there. The next solar eclipse is a partial one in Virgo (September 2025), followed by a total eclipse in Cancer in August 2026.The last eclipse in Leo—a lunar eclipse at the final degree on March 14 2025—was recently activated by Mars, stirring political scandals. Could this signal the downfall of Trump, or will he remain shielded by the absence of solar eclipses in Leo? Ketu, as always, both reveals and conceals.Mars entered Virgo at the end of July and now opposes retrograde Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. These slow-moving planets hold their degree into 2026, sustaining a mood of disillusionment. Mars’ opposition in August and September heightens frustration, as practical tasks feel overwhelming against a backdrop of ongoing collapse. The exact Mars-Saturn opposition on August 9 is also a Full Moon in Saturn's sign, Capricorn, a day to be cautious—better to raise a white flag than escalate tensions.Venus and Jupiter conjoin in Gemini on August 11, just after the Full Moon, increasing the potential to overindulge because of the emotional intensity. Venus enters Cancer on August 20 and opposes Pluto, peaking on August 27. This draws us toward emotional security, possibly through home life or on holiday, even as global unrest remains impossible to ignore.Overall, August is a tense month, where overindulgence is an understandable and likely result. Hidden pressures from Mars and Ketu give way to more visible conflicts, with Neptune blurring the picture, making it harder to define or reach the end goal.

    Should astrologers use their intuition?

Some astrologers argue against using intuition when reading charts, but astrology is both a science and an art. In this podcast, I explain why intuition is essential—because you're using it anyway—but emphasise the need to support it with solid knowledge. Without that foundation, you risk falling into misunderstanding or personal bias.

    New Moon in Puṣya

The New Moon in Cancer, occurring during Mercury retrograde, emphasises the importance of self-care and reflection on what truly nourishes you. This lunar month invites you to focus on creating emotional safety and tending to your inner needs. The New Moon falls in Puṣya, meaning 'flowering' (pushyati), a gentle and supportive lunar mansion ruled by Brihaspati (Jupiter), the divine teacher. Coming just after Guru Pūrṇimā, this lunation extends themes of guidance and wisdom, encouraging you to start anew under their light. With Mercury retrograde, it’s time to reassess your attachments and mental fixations. The next mansion, Āśleṣā—the coiled serpent—warns of unhealthy entanglements. Ask yourself: Where is my attention going? Are these bonds nourishing or draining me?This is a chance to release what no longer serves you. Simplify, let go, and nurture what matters most.

    How (Not) to Approach Remedies

Remedial measures are an important part of having a Vedic astrology reading; however, many people approach them with a sense of blame that sets them up to fail from the get-go. In this podcast, I discuss the ways we fail in our remedies and how we might best remedy the situation.

  46. 132

    Full Moon in Pūrvāṣāḍhā

This Full Moon in Sagittarius coincides with Guru Pūrṇimā, a traditional time in India to honour teachers and spiritual guides. Jupiter, the guru, is opposite the Moon in Gemini, stirring mental activity, while the Moon seeks wisdom and stillness in Sagittarius. Saturn, watching from Pisces, reminds us to approach this Full Moon with focus and reverence. The Moon shines bright in the lunar mansion Pūrvāṣāḍhā, meaning ‘the former invincible one’, ruled by Apas, the goddess of water. This suggests a need for emotional purification and renewal, bringing a wave of optimism and joy. All three 'benefics', Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury, are lined up opposite (adhi yoga). Pūrvāṣāḍhā is associated with bold declarations and standing up for one’s beliefs. This Full Moon amplifies conviction, making us more inclined to fight for what we believe is right. One of its symbols is an elephant’s tusk, symbolising strength and perseverance, also linking to Gaṇeśa, the remover of obstacles. Despite Jupiter’s distraction in Gemini, Gaṇeśa helps us cut through mental clutter and find clarity.Another symbol of this mansion is a fan, reminding us to cool our passions and remain calm. In the heat of religious passions (Sagittarius), we can lose perspective—but this Full Moon also offers a chance to see the truth and honour those who help reveal it.

July 2025 Vedic Astrology Forecast (Sidereal)

As Mars approaches Ketu in Leo, Saturn and Neptune station retrograde in close conjunction, signalling the potential collapse of major structures and the beginning of reform. We’ve already seen some major catastrophic events that reflect this combination. There are likely more to follow as Mars and Ketu edge closer together throughout July.Personally, this is a time of reinvention and breakthroughs. If you’re trying to hold onto the way things were, you’re ‘bucking the current’. Go with the flow with all of your might!Saturn’s retrograde with Neptune in Pisces urges surrender, while Mars and Ketu ignite more anger and destructive impulses. Managing these intense energies is tricky. One is asking you to let go, while the other asks you to take action. These two separate impulses do not line up comfortably with one another. And yet, we must all find ways to be okay with not knowing for sure if the action we take will reap the rewards we hope for.Yet, we must act, as attempting to sit on Mars right now will only lead to more problems. Yet still, try not to fall into the other extreme, where you end up overdoing it and causing a different set of problems. Use what Mars and Ketu are both good for; that is, getting rid of problems.Globally, however, we’re likely to see an escalation in attacks and the beginning of major problems. We may also see more extreme seismic activity that grabs the world’s attention, adding to the many volcanoes that have already been set off.At least we have Venus in Taurus to offer some sense of comfort while all of this is going on. Yet its conjunction with Uranus, exact on July 4, may bring disruption, especially for the U.S. birthday. Also, Venus in Taurus squares Mars in Leo, which means we are likely conflicted about anything we’re enjoying when we see so many shocking events.Later in the month, as Mars and Ketu get closer together, building in intensity all the while, Mercury stations retrograde on July 18, urging care in communication as emotions run high. The Sun then opposes Pluto on July 25 and adds further volatility, highlighting power struggles in governments, just as Mars and Ketu have reached their peak. Expect a major incident around this time or in the lead-up to it.Venus moves into Gemini by July 26, while Mars' shift into Virgo by July 27 brings continued pressure to systems that are just about ready to give in. That’s because Mars in Virgo opposes Saturn conjunct Neptune in Pisces, demanding more precise action to address the crumbling system.Total and utter reform is the only possible outcome. However, how we get there involves a longer and more winding road than we had imagined.

    Aśvinī - The Swift One

Kishori joins me to discuss the first lunar mansion Aśvinī, which means ‘horse’, a symbol of its swiftness and drive. Courageous and sometimes a little impulsive, its ruling deities are the twin horsemen and physicians to the gods. Its swiftness is beneficial in sporting activities, as well as in anything that spikes adrenaline, while health and travel are my interests.

  49. 129

    New Moon in Ārdrā

This lunar month begins with the New Moon in Gemini, in the intense lunar mansion of Ārdrā, conjunct Jupiter. There’s a strong desire for clarity, but a need to go within to find it. Mercury is in Cancer, exchanging signs with the Moon in Gemini. Communication may be more emotional, with instincts dictating decisions. As Mercury slows down and prepares to retrograde in July, we’re reminded of an important truth: No matter how rational we try to be, our feelings guide our thinking and decision-making.Rather than battling your emotions, use them to give voice to what you feel. Jupiter represents a knowing, exalted in Cancer, a feeling place, not Gemini. True knowing comes as a sense, a feeling, not a thought - that comes later.Jupiter is combust (close to the Sun's degree) for this New Moon in Gemini, so its clarity is easily drowned out by mental chatter. The truth lies within. When in doubt, feel it out.

    Full Moon in Jyeṣṭhā

The Full Moon in Scorpio, in the lunar mansion Jyeṣṭhā, marks a powerful time of transformation. With Mars transiting Leo and conjunct Ketu, this Full Moon squares the lunar nodes in Leo and Aquarius, activating all fixed signs.Scorpio prepares you for what lies ahead. As Mars nears Ketu, some disruption is likely. The best advice? Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. This Full Moon, at the final degrees of Scorpio, ushers in endings, clearing space before the Moon enters Sagittarius. There is much to fear, but also much to hope for.Significant and lasting changes may unfold—some driven by dread, others offering a chance to overcome personal fears. This lunation intensifies the approaching Mars–Ketu conjunction and Mars' aspect to Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. Meanwhile, Saturn and Jupiter form an exact square, heightening tension between responsibility and idealism, creating a sense of sober anticipation. The ideal response is the middle path—the quiet centre between hope and fear. Booms and busts may follow, even if only in the mind. The zodiacal shift from Scorpio to Sagittarius represents the middle path. Let go of what clouds your judgment so that you can step into Sagittarius with a greater vision.
