Når Specialskolernes Landsidrætsstævne (SLIS) afholdes i Esbjerg den 6. og 7. maj 2026, danner Esbjerg Idrætspark igen rammen om et af årets mest livsbekræftende fællesskaber. Det hele åbnes med en fælles indmarch på atletikstadion onsdag den 6. maj kl. 10.00. Forleden meddelte Esbjerg Kommune, at otte medarbejdere ved Misbrugscenteret på Jagtvej i Esbjerg skal afskediges for at tilpasse medarbejderantallet. En beslutning, som centrets brugere langt fra er enige i – og derfor afholder de i dag en fredelig demonstration foran rådhuset i Esbjerg. Vi har talt med en af de frustrerede brugere, Mark Elkjær, om baggrunden for dagens demonstration.
