As the headlines keep coming, emotions remain high, and everyone wants to take action or find someone to blame. The devil doesn’t want us unified unless it’s for his schemes, so he will continue to push us towards division and away from freedom in Christ. We must remember that with everything we consume. The only truth is Go’s word.

We had another topic planned for today, but honoring a brother in Christ and encouraging hearts that feel broken is always our goal. The world can be a wicked place, but praise God, this world is not our home. God sent his son to die for us, so that we might have eternal life. All our hope is in Jesus!

We’re living in a world that uses the media to toss us from one news story to another, one country’s war to another, one political agenda to another. We watched the debate together, without distractions! Maybe it’s because we’re getting older, but maybe it’s because we know it matters what these candidates are saying and doing. We hope that if you do anything this election season, it would be to find out what each of these candidates stand for, and compare their values and policies with the word of God.

Election years seem to magnify the beliefs, promises, ideas, and opinions of others, especially of the political candidates. But are we also looking at their fruit? Are we also checking our own for bad spots? Join us today as we discuss discerning our political candidates, and how to continually ask God for eyes to see.
