Truth that Transforms

Main point: 1 Corinthians 14:29-40 describes three ways that order in the church honors God and edifies the church body. 

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 8:1–9 reveals three lessons in gospel generosity that call us to grow in the grace of God and reflect the generosity of Christ toward those in need.

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 7:1-16 describes the call and characteristics of genuine repentance so that we may experience the joys of restored relationships. 

Main Point: In 2 Corinthians 6:11-18, Paul calls the Corinthians to open their hearts to truth and separate from unbelief, so that they may live as God’s temple and enjoy fellowship as His sons and daughters. 

Main Point: God calls parents to shepherd their children’s hearts through intentional, gospel-shaped leadership and loving biblical discipline so that they grow into worshipers of the living God. 

Main Point: Gospel-Powered parents prayerfully seek to raise and launch children with three biblical characteristics: they are saved, they are standing apart from the world, and they are gaining spiritual wisdom.  

Main Point: Ephesians 5:22–6:4 reveals that gospel-powered parenting flows out of a Christ-centered marriage, so that the home reflects the gospel in both love and leadership. 

Main Point: Proverbs 4 counsel’s fathers to know God deeply, know children truly, lead homes wisely, and protect family intentionally so that their children might live faithfully before God.

Main Point: Our best chance for our children to love the church is for us to model and prioritize a joyful love for the church. 

Main Point: Scripture gives parents both the mandate and the models for leading their families in the worship of God, so we must seek to establish faithful, practical, and consistent patterns of worship in the home. 

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 6:1-10 describes two marks of a true minister of Christ so that we may live in such a way that our message and manner of life are testimonies of faithfulness.

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 5:21 explains how God orchestrated the greatest exchange in history — placing our sin on His perfect Son and crediting His Son's righteousness to us — so that we are forever His. 

Main Point: Proverbs 31:10–31 portrays three elements of the wise women’s life so that we would value, honor, and pursue godly wisdom in every season of life.

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 5:18–20 reveals four gospel realities of reconciliation that compel us as God’s ambassadors to faithfully make Christ known.

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 5:11-17 reveals four gospel-shaping realities that compel us by the love of Christ to no longer live for ourselves but for Him. 

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 5:9–10 reveals three compelling motivations for living to please God so that we would pursue faithfulness with eternal joy. 

Main point: 2 Corinthians 5:1–8 sets before us three realities of our resurrection glory so that we would persevere through the pain of life with a growing confidence in the Lord. 

Main point: In Luke 24:1–12, the resurrection of Jesus reveals three life-transforming realities so that we trust Him, rejoice in Him, and make Him known. 

Main Point: In Colossians 2:13–15 we are given three decisive achievements of Christ’s crucifixion so that we truly see and treasure His glory through the cross.

Main point: In 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Paul uses three contrasts to teach us the value of essential spiritual realities so that we will not lose heart when experiencing affliction.

Main Point: In 2 Corinthians 4:7–15 we see three ways God powerfully works through weak servants to bring life to others and glory to Himself.

Main Point: 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 reveals three foundational components of faithful gospel proclamation that we must understand if we are to faithfully make Christ known. 

Main Point: What God has done for us through Christ is at the heart of every good we do in life and ministry.

Main point:  2 Corinthians 3:1-6 gives three answers to the question, “How does God measure effective ministry?” 

Main point:  2 Corinthians 2:12–17 shows us four ways our sufficiency is in Christ so that the glory belongs to Him alone. 

Main point:  2 Corinthians 2:5-11 teaches three essential truths about forgiveness so that we may experience the blessings that come with faithfully and graciously handling sin.

Main point:  Because God has dealt with us honestly and graciously in Christ, 2 Corinthians 1:12–2:4shows us four ways the church is called to live together with loving transparency.

Main point:  In 2 Corinthians 1:1–11, we see four key ways God comforts His people in suffering, so that we as a church would be comforted and extend His comfort to one another.

Main point: 2 Corinthians gives us four views of our identity in Christ so that we will become more secure in our standing before God, strengthened in our battle against indwelling sin, emboldened in our witness for Christ, and steadfast in our suffering. 

Main point: In 1 Corinthians 16:1-24, we find three examples of a faithful commitment to the church that calls us to cultivate the same heart and care for the church. 

Main point: Luke 2:8-20 reveals three extraordinary ways the birth of Jesus changed the lives of ordinary shepherds and continues to change lives today.

Main point:  1 Corinthians 15:36-49 answers the questions in verse 35 about your future resurrection body so that you believe in the risen Christ and live boldly for Him now.  

Main point:  1 Corinthians 15:20-34 provides three truths of Christ’s resurrection so that we will live with unshakeable hope, holy purpose, and courageous obedience.

Main point:  1 Corinthians 15:12-19 explains six consequences of denying the resurrection so that we will understand and believe Christ is truly risen and know that our faith, our forgiveness, and our future are secure.

Main point:  1 Corinthians 15:1-11 contains three realities about the resurrection Gospel so that we might hopefully live in light of the coming day in which we will physically be with the Lord in glory. 

Main Point: In 1 Corinthians 14:20–28, there are three assertions related to the gift of tongues that we must know so that we understand God’s purpose for this gift and worship Him in the way He intends. 

Main point: 1 Corinthians 14:1-19 describes three ways that God calls His people to use their spiritual gifts to promote edification of the church body, not personal glory.
