This week, we participated in another co-op pulpit swap! Tumwater was happy to welcome Pastor Heather from First Olympia UMC to preach on being lost (both physically and spiritually).

This week, Pastor Kellen reflected on the moments when we realize God has been walking alongside us the whole time without our knowing. When has that happened in your life? How did you respond?

Christ is risen! This Easter Sunday, Pastor Kellen preached on the resurrection and God's Kingdom of belonging.

This Palm Sunday, Pastor Kellen finished our series on practicing the way and challenged us to give Jesus the very thing he wants most, our hearts.

On Sunday, Pastor Alexa joined us from First Olympia UMC to preach while Pastor Kellen was out recovering from a youth overnight. She preached on how, without a rule of life, without knowing our longings, and establishing our limits, we will not thrive. We may feel free, but we will never reach our full potential, we will never bear the fruit we could otherwise.

On transfiguration Sunday, pastor Kellen taught the congregation the examen prayer and encouraged us to find the divine light among us so that we can share it with the world.

This week, Pastor Kellen preached on transformative stillness (especially in times of distress).

This week Pastor Kellen challenged the congregation to practice more gratitude as a way of being more active participants in our own lives and to 'catch others alive' for the gospel.

We continued the Luke story from last week to see how Jesus' ministry is first and foremost to those on the margins. We as the church are called to that same work.

Pastor Kellen preached on the story of Jesus turning water into wine and challenged the congregation to lean into the mystery of how God works in the midst of tragedy and our role as Christians to petition God.

This week we reflected on the gospel stories of wasteful giving to imagine how we can be wasteful givers to others in our lives.

This week, our Co-op Youth Group left for their SLAM trip to be in ministry with the people of Yakama Nation. In his last full sermon on Native American Theology and History, Pastor Kellen encouraged the congregation to practice staying connected instead of just striving to be right.
