    Silly dove without heart

THERE ARE THREE PORTRAYALS OF THE DOVE I WANT FOCUS ON FOR A MOMENT. HOSEA- SHOWS US THE SILLY DOVE- EASILY CAUGHT IN THE NETS OF ENEMIES AND FOOLISHNESS OF THE WORLD.PSALMS- SHOWS US A DOVE THAT IS EAGER TO FIND PEACE, RESTORATION, BEUATY, AND REST. AFTER HARDSHIPS THEY BECAME RESILIENT THEIR WINGS WOULD BECOME BEAUTIFUL WITH SILVER AND GOLD SHIMMERS FROM THE SUN REFLECTING OF THEIR WINGS AS THEY FLEW. YOU WILL GO THROUGH HARDSHIPS BUT LET THE WORLD SEE YOUR BEUATY AS GOD PULLED YOU OUT OF THE MUCK AND MIRE, KNOCK THE DIRT OFF YOUR FEET AND KEEP MOVING, THE GOSPELS GOTTA GET GOING! YOU HAVE THE GOSPEL DOVE- THIS ONE DESCENDED FROM HEAVEN DURING THE BAPTISM OF JESUSTHIS IS DIVINE NATURE- INFUSED AND BAPTIZED WITH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE SAME POWER THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE GRAVE. The same bird symbolizes both human weakness and divine perfection, showing how God transforms what is foolish and vulnerable into something holy when filled by His Spirit. After the great Flood, Noah sends out birds to test whether the waters have gone down enough for life to resume:First, he sends a raven, which flies back and forth (scavenging on floating carcasses). Then he sends a dove (a cleaner, more gentle bird). On its first trip, it returns with nowhere to land.   On the second trip, the dove brings back a freshly plucked olive leaf. This is decisive evidence:The waters have receded enough for plants to grow again. The leaf was “freshly plucked,” showing new growth, not something that had been floating dead in the water.A week later, Noah sends the dove out a third time, and it does not return—signaling it’s safe to leave the ark.WE HAVE RAVENS AND DOVESRAVENS ARE FOCUSED ON THE DEADDOVES ARE FOCUSED ON PEACEHOWEVER, SOME OF THOSE DOVES DON’T KNOW HOW TO FIND ITSOME OF THOSE DOVES ONLY HAVE A PIECE OF ITAND SOME OF THOSE DOVES GO MAKE NEW PATHS WITH IT. Thewayknoxville.com

    Pride prevents repentance

Hos 7:8Ephraim mixes himself with the peoples;Ephraim is a cake not turned.Hos 7:9Strangers devour his strength, and he knows it not;gray hairs are sprinkled upon him,and he knows it not.Hos 7:10The pride of Israel testifies to his face;yet they do not return to the LORD their God,nor seek him, for all this.Matthew 26:4141 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”Spirit- our inner, renewed part of the person..   Desire’s to do the best, always has good intentions.   Flesh- refers to human weakness: physical limitations, sinful tendencies, fatigue, emotions, or the fallen human nature. Without reliance upon God, Human Frailty wins out.    This isn’t an excuse for sin, but often why good intention often fail. The solution isn’t more willpower, it’s more prayer! Watchful prayer, immediate prayer, sorrowful prayer, prayer with substance, prayer in the Spirit of God’s favor and testimony. A willingness to accept God’s plan’s for your life even if it involves suffering.     So that God can absolve you from the torment of Sin and provide freedom in his salvation.  Thewayknoxville.com

    Paid in Full

Thank you to our Elder Wes for an amazing presentation of Isiah 53. Isaiah 53 describes God's Suffering Servant — a man who is rejected, unattractive, and full of sorrow.People thought he was being punished by God for his own sins, but actually:He was wounded and crushed for our sins, not his own.He took our punishment so we could have peace.By his wounds, we are healed.Like innocent sheep that wandered away, all of us have sinned — and God placed all our guilt on him.He suffered quietly, was treated unfairly, and died. He was buried in a rich man's grave. But in the end, God was pleased with his sacrifice. The Servant will see the good results of his suffering, justify many people, and be honored. This chapter is often called the clearest Old Testament picture of Jesus' suffering and death for us.Thewayknoxville.com

    Hosea 5

Mat 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.Hos 5:5And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.God knows them, but they do not know him. Unbearably proud.   Pride comes from a sense of accomplishment, however it has a dual nature. It can lead to  maladaptive patterns like arrogance and isolation. Authentic pride “beta” pride- feelings of accomplishment fulfillment genuine satisfaction Hubristic pride “alpha” pride- an antisocial self aggrandizing form tied to inflated sense of superiority.     Narcissism.. this style of pride leads to distorted self views, pushes the individual to over claim unearned success.Thewayknoxville.com

    No God No Knowledge

Hosea Chapter 4 and onward the book becomes prophetic and literal.Allegory is useful for illustration not doctrine.     Is Jesus literally returning aging yes.Is hell eternal, yes. Many other Biblical  books have a theme of repentance, this one is reaping what you sow. The clear expectation is Gods justice demands penaltyThe courtroom setting.  A subpoena from God to the northern Kingdom of Israel Sins of OmissionNo Truth No MercyNo knowledge of God. Truth must be rooted in more than personal opinion, and mercy means going beyond self-interest.Thewayknoxville.com

    Things above

Today we take a deep dive on a few topics. Mainly modern diagnostics of "mental health". We are triune being, body, soul, and spirit. The common vernacular is to obtain the attention of societies mental health, where we should be focussing on spiritual health. Colossians reminds us to set our minds on things above, not of this earth. If you are looking for true healing. Start with your spiritual health. Jesus has the most powerful solutions for your troubles, mental health, and physical needs. Thewayknoxville.com

Num 21:4And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.Num 21:5And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.Num 21:6And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.Num 21:7Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. Num 21:8And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. Num 21:9And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.Thewayknoxville.com

    I love you BIG

Wes delivers a wonderful sermon on Luke 7:3636One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table.37And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, 38and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.39Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” 40And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.”41“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.42When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?”43Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.”  And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.”44Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. 46You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.47Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” 48And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49Then those who were at table with him began to say among themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” 50And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matt 11:28-30)Thewayknoxville.com

Dan 3:19Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.Dan 3:20And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.Dan 3:21Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.Dan 3:22Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.Dan 3:23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. The bible was hyper vigilant to explain that all of their flammable clothing was given to them The very flames meant to kill them, the very ropes meant to bind them, became a witness and a testimony unto their enemies.    But it wasn’t the flames….. or the ropes that can take the Glory….. .      Their was another man,  the fourth man… .the one holding back the flames, the one who removed the binds…..       His name is Jesus Because when Jesus is amongst the mayhem and tyranny trying to destroy you, He will make a mockery of the Devils feable attempt to overthrow his anointing and anointed ones You are a witness to your enemiesYour friends, the kings that rule the nations, of the miraculous authority, power, and absolute dominion of JESUS Thewayknoxville.com

Mat 21:20And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?” Mat 21:21So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. God has not called us to be neutral in our belief. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬-‭7‬ Thewayknoxville.com
