Two Unlikely Christians

Pat McCool and Richard Turrell are an unlikely duo. A comedian from the Deep South, USA and a therapist from London, UK. Thrown together in unlikely circumstances they formed a friendship based on two things: Firstly, their shared love of Jesus, and latterly, their realization that they were both as unhinged as the other.Somewhere along the way they decided that their often deranged ramblings might make for a half decent podcast.     Send us Fan MailRichard and Pat discuss a fascinating study done by Israeli researchers that showed physiological changes in the body based on what the subjects were exposed to. When exposed to humor the bodies macrophages - "the clean up crew" - of the blood attacked the bad bacterium. Conversely, when the subjects were exposed to negative stimuli like a horror movie, the bad bacterium attacked the good macrophages. They discuss the clinical, personal and biblical aspects of the results of the study, as well as the surprising impact a person's outlook and mood may have on not only loved ones in close proximity, but also those thousands of miles away.
