Welcome back to another episode of Cuss & Discuss! Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts, for coming back each day/week. This week we peel back the band-aid on "bad day at home". In our line of work this happens and sometimes too often. It's not ok and not fair to our family and friends. Here's the thing, communication is necessary. PLEASE let your people know how you're feeling and tell them what you need.  Also, it's your job, and more important than your essential job to get yourself "right", turn off work brain so you can be at home, be present and be there for those that love you most. Your "job" will continue without you. They'll have your position filled before your seat gets cold. Don't give your job so much of yourself that your loved ones get nothing of you in return. If you're finding it hard to shut the work brain off, PLEASE find culturally competent counseling and go! OFTEN! Use your words at home and let your family/friends know what you need and what they can do for you. Give yourself that time, work harder than you do at work to switch back and be present at home.
