5: The Evil Results of Turning Away from the Scholars During Crises (& A Warning Against Amjad Rafiq)

Moosaa Richardson addresses this important topic, reading the tremendous insight of the great scholar, Shaykh Rabee' ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee (may Allah have Mercy on him), as he pinpointed one of the most avoidable causes of discord, stepping in front of the scholars during emergencies. He exposed the worst results of this behavior, splitting and discord, in this eye-opening scholarly diagnosis of the issue.Moosaa then reads Shaykh 'Arafaat ibn Hasan al-Muhammadi's 15 Steps of Diligence Employed by the Scholars Before Issuing Fataawaa in Nawaazil, a tremendous compilation showing angles of the discussion perhaps not known to many who have erred and stumbled in times of crisis. (The tremendous benefit of this topic as explained by Shaykh 'Arafaat (may Allah preserve him) shows why those who have been diverting the people away from following the scholars must speak against him!)Moosaa further warns against Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq of Salafi Publications, due to his constant interference in these important matters and the confusion, discord, and other harms he has introduced into the ranks of the Salafis worldwide. The lecture was delivered at the Fouta Islamic Center in Philadelphia on 1447.11.29.
