The blessing of God may bring greater weight, but it also draws us into greater dependence on Him.Colby challenged us to guard our hearts, strengthen our faith and keep God at the centre of our lives. As we build our lives on His Word and pursue His presence. Through simple acts of hospitality and presence, we not only grow in our own faith but help disciple those around us.A nourishing and heartfelt message on what it means to truly do life together in Jesus.

    Ben Tarbuck - Disciples

This Sunday at Way Church, Ben Tarbuck launched our brand new series: Disciples. A powerful beginning as we step into what it truly means to follow Jesus and live as His disciples.Rooted in a picture of deep devotion, this message challenged the way we often view church. The world may describe church as a building or a place we go, but we were reminded that church is people; a living, breathing community devoted to God, to one another and to a shared life of faith.Ben called us higher, inviting us to move beyond surface-level belief into a life marked by commitment to God’s Word, to prayer, to generosity and to authentic community. This is what discipleship looks like: not just attending, but becoming.A stirring message that redefines what it means to be the Church and calls each of us to step fully into the life God has invited us to live.

With Jesus as the head and we, His people, as the body.Through this message, she spoke honestly about the reality of church hurt and the moments when people can feel disconnected or unsure about being part of the body. Yet at the heart of the message was a powerful truth: every single person has value, purpose and a place within God’s family.Just as a body is made up of many parts working together, the Church is formed by people uniquely created and deeply loved by God. This message invites us to see the Church not as a place of perfection, but as a living, growing body where we honour one another, support one another and remember that we all belong.

  19. 176

Chevon Taylor - Shaped on purpose

This Sunday at Way Church, Chevon shared a deeply reflective message through the powerful image of a sculptor carefully forming marble into a masterpiece, we were reminded that God shapes our lives with the same patience, care and intention.Just as a sculptor slowly reveals beauty within stone, God is continually shaping us throughout our lives. The message invited us to reflect on how we often ask God to shape us, yet still wrestle with trusting His timing and His process. This message was a gentle yet powerful reminder that we are God’s workmanship, formed with purpose and transformed over time as we surrender more of ourselves to Him. A beautiful invitation to trust the hands of the One who is shaping us into something far greater than we can yet see.

  20. 175

Dave Belfield - Don’t love the church, love God.

This Sunday, Dave Belfield continued his powerful message on purpose with a bold and refocusing reminder: don’t love the church, love God.He challenged us to examine our motives and our foundation, reminding us that everything we do is ultimately for God, not for an organisation or a building. Because without God at the centre, what is church? It is His presence that gives it life, meaning and mission. We were encouraged to lift our eyes beyond roles, routines and responsibilities and instead fix our hearts on Him alone. When we love God first, everything else finds its proper place.A clarifying and grounding message, calling us back to the true source of our purpose

  21. 174

    Dave Belfield - Purpose

This Sunday, Dave Belfield brought a thoughtful and stirring message on purpose, reminding us that our lives only find true meaning when rooted in God. Exploring the truth that we are chosen and positioned with intention, he encouraged us to reflect on where we are drawing our identity from. When purpose isn’t anchored in God, it becomes easy to adopt the expectations and definitions the world offers instead. We were challenged to see purpose as something lived out with faith, perseverance and trust in God’s promises over time.A meaningful message that invites us to rediscover who we are in Him and to live with clarity, courage and God-given direction.

  22. 173

    Ben Tarbuck - Devoted Friends

This Sunday, Ben continued our 'We Are the MOVE of God' series with a powerful message on friendship and the people we choose to walk alongside. Looking at Gideon’s story, he highlighted the difference between devoted friends who strengthen our faith and doubtful voices that can pull us away from God’s purpose. We were reminded that not every relationship is meant for every season and that God often refines our circles so we can move forward in obedience and courage. The right people don’t just stand near us they stand in faith with usA timely and challenging message, calling us to consider who we journey with as we step into all God is asking of us.

  23. 172

Ben Tarbuck - A Life of Generosity

This Sunday, Ben Tarbuck brought a stirring and faith-building message on generosity, inviting us to see it not as obligation but as worship. He reminded us that generosity flows from trust, trusting God with what we have and believing that He is the true source of every good thing. This message challenges our hearts to loosen our grip, to sow with faith and to live open-handed lives that reflect God’s abundance and grace. As we give, God shapes us, grows us and uses our generosity to bless others and glorify His name.A timely and soul-stirring invitation to live generously, joyfully and fully surrendered to God.

  24. 171

Ben Tarbuck - What Do You Need to Be Emptied Of?

This Sunday, Ben continued our We Are the Move of God series with a stirring and deeply personal question: what do you need to be emptied of?We were invited to see ourselves as clay jars: fragile, ordinary yet chosen to carry something extraordinary. God doesn’t fill what we refuse to empty and He often equips us with unexpected “weapons” that only make sense when we trust Him completely. Just as Gideon’s army carried jars, fire and trumpets. We are reminded that God’s power is revealed not through strength but through surrender. This message is a call to lay things down, make room for God and trust that what He places in our hands, no matter how unlikely will be enough. Are you ready to be emptied, so God can fill you and pour His light into the world through you?

  25. 170

Ben Tarbuck – God Moves Through You

This Sunday, Ben Tarbuck continued the journey of We Are the Move of God with a brief yet faith-igniting message. It was a reminder that God’s power is not distant or reserved for a few, but active and alive through ordinary people who choose to believe.Ben encouraged us to lift our eyes, to stop shrinking Jesus in the face of our challenges and to trust that God is able to move mightily through surrendered lives. A timely call to faith, courage and confidence in who God is and what He can do through us when we say yes.

  26. 169

Ben Tarbuck - Called to Tear It Down

This Sunday, Ben Tarbuck brought a confronting and faith-stirring message, calling us to live as the Gideons of today. With honesty and courage, he challenged us to examine the modern-day idols we have allowed to sit at the centre of our lives. Those quiet replacements for God that shape our priorities, habits, and worship.Just as Gideon was called to tear down what stood in the way of true devotion, this message invites us to do the same: to break from false security, return to wholehearted faith and choose God alone as the foundation of our lives. A powerful call to courage, surrender and freedom. This message asks the question we all must answer: what needs to fall so God can fully reign?

  27. 168

Ben Tarbuck - We are the MOVE of God

This Sunday marked our first gathering of 2026 and Ben Tarbuck opened the year by launching our new series, “We Are the Move of God.” This series flows from a prophetic word God has given our church, rooted in the truth that God does far more than we can ask or imagine, through His people.Ben drew from the story of Gideon, reminding us how God often calls ordinary people who feel uncertain, unqualified or unseen and then reveals who they truly are in Him. Just as Gideon was invited to see himself through God’s eyes, we too are being called to rise in faith and step into what God is doing and calling us to.This message sets the tone for the year ahead: a call to trust God’s voice, move in obedience and believe that He is at work in and through us. A powerful start to 2026 and an invitation to become all God has called us to be.We’d love to welcome you in person. Come as you are and be part of what God is doing among us at Way Wigan on Sundays at 10:30am.

  28. 167

Ben Tarbuck - 2025 MOVE recap

This Sunday, Ben Tarbuck led us in a reflective message, giving thanks for all God has done throughout 2025 while lifting our eyes toward what lies ahead. As we revisited the MOVE series, we were reminded that God has been our anchor; faithful and steady in every season.Looking toward 2026, Ben declared with faith: We are the move of God. Not waiting for something to happen, but recognising that God moves through surrendered lives and obedient hearts. He also spoke of us being the Jethro generation: a people called to walk in wisdom, shared strength and God’s order, knowing we are better together.A moment of gratitude and a call to readiness for all God is about to do.

  29. 166

Ben Tarbuck - Christmas at Way

This Sunday we celebrated Christmas at Way. A joyful moment to honour the birth of Jesus Christ and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.Ben Tarbuck shared a heartfelt message reminding us that Christmas is not just a season of giving, but a moment where heaven gave its greatest gift. God sent His Son not to condemn the world, but to draw us close, offering love, grace and salvation. In a world focused on presents, this message gently calls us back to presence. The presence of God with us, for us and within us. Christmas is more than a celebration; it’s an invitation to receive the greatest gift ever given.

  30. 165

Chevon Taylor - Presence at The Table

This Sunday, Chevon Taylor opened our December series, “The Table,” by reminding us that throughout Scripture, God meets His people at the table. Jesus identifies Himself with the hungry and the stranger, God sets a table in His dwelling place, Jesus sits with sinners and the early church breaks bread as an act of devotion. Again and again the table becomes a place of encounter.Chevon spoke of Jesus’ radical hospitality, a Savior who doesn’t wait for us to come to Him but chooses to come close, to sit with us, to share life with us. As we move toward celebrating His birth, we’re invited to open our tables the way He opened His life: with welcome, grace and room for others. This season, may our tables reflect His heart, places where people are seen, loved and met by the presence of Jesus.

  31. 164

Jake Issac - Pray like Jesus

This Sunday, Jake Isaac led us in a deeply moving message. He invited us to look honestly at our prayer lives at what we bring to God, how we speak to Him, and what we truly believe about the One who listens.Drawing from Jesus’ own example, Jake reminded us that prayer is not performance, pressure or ritual but a relationship. It’s the place where we learn to breathe again, to trust again, to surrender again. It’s where heaven meets our humanity and reshapes us from the inside out.If you’re longing for a deeper, more authentic connection with God, this one will speak to your soul.

  32. 163

Chevon Taylor - Discern like Jesus

This Sunday, Chevon Taylor brought a powerful message on discernment, challenging us to recognise what is real in a world full of convincing imitations. Using AI visuals as a wake-up call, she showed how easily we can be deceived without spiritual clarity. She reminded us that discernment is a God-given gift and a daily practice sharpened by seeking Him, listening closely and learning to recognise His voice above the noise. Are you ready to see clearly? This message will stir your spirit.

  33. 162

Lucy Ayres - Give Like Jesus

This Sunday, continuing in our Like Jesus series, we had the joy of hearing Lucy Ayres bring a deeply spiritual and soul-awakening message. She invited us to look honestly at what it truly means to give everything to God, not just our resources but our desires, our motives, our security and our whole lives. Lucy reminded us that giving like Jesus isn’t about loss; it’s about stepping into the fullness of life that comes when we release our grip and place everything in His hands. With a tender but challenging call, Lucy showed us that God’s love is generous, overflowing and sacrificial. When we surrender to Him, that same love begins to flow through us. To give like Jesus is to trust Him with our future, to loosen our hold on the things that weigh us down and to allow His life to shine through every choice we make.

  34. 161

    Ben Tarbuck Serve like Jesus

This Sunday we had the pleasure of hearing from Ben Tarbuck as he continued our Like Jesus series with a powerful message. Ben reminded us that true service isn’t limited to a Sunday or a task, it’s a posture of the heart. To serve like Jesus is to let every action, every word and every moment reflect His love.He challenged us to look beyond ourselves and ask: How am I serving God’s Kingdom through my kindness, my generosity, and my love toward others? When we serve with humility and devotion, we don’t just reflect Jesus we reveal Him to the world.

  35. 160

Dave Belfield - Lead Like Jesus

This Sunday we had Dave Belfield bring a stirring and awakening message where he reminded us that ministry isn’t limited to the church walls, it’s a calling we live out in every area of our lives. Each of us carries the gift of reconciliation meaning wherever we go God’s Kingdom goes with us. Dave challenged us to shift our mindset: Sunday isn’t a time to recharge but a celebration of how God has already worked through us during the week. A powerful reminder that we are all called to lead like Jesus.

  36. 159

Chevon Taylor - Who is Jesus

This Sunday we opened our new series “…Like Jesus” with Chevon Taylor leading us back to the foundation of transformation, truly knowing who Jesus is. She reminded us that Christ was not random in history but planned, promised and given for us and that becoming like Him is not about copying behavior but surrendering our lives to be remade by His love. The message ended with a call to lay down whatever still competes with Jesus in us: a habit, a lifestyle, a comfort or a “no” that must become “yes” so that His life can take shape in ours.

  37. 158

Ben Tarbuck - Salvation belongs to our God

This Sunday at Way Church we celebrated All Nations Sunday a beautiful moment to honour every nationality and culture in our community.Ben Tarbuck brought a powerful word reminding us that although we speak many earthly languages, we share one Kingdom language: Salvation belongs to our God.He spoke about the unity Heaven celebrates; all tribes, all tongues, one voice and challenged us to live the same way on earth. 39. 156

    Rachel Calland - Servant Heart

This Sunday at Way Church, Rachel Calland shared a moving message on what it truly means to have a serving heart. Serving isn’t just about Sundays in church it’s a posture we carry into every part of our lives: in our families, workplaces, friendships and beyond.Rachel reminded us that when we serve with humility and love, we reflect the very heart of Jesus. True greatness isn’t found in status or recognition but in giving ourselves for others as Christ gave Himself for us.This message is a call to live with open hands, open hearts and a willingness to serve wherever God has placed us.

  40. 155

Ben Tarbuck - Who is your faith in?

This Sunday at Way Church, Pastor Ben Tarbuck challenged us with a powerful question: “Who is your faith in?”Drawing from the story of the centurion and the words of Hebrews, Ben reminded us that true faith isn’t about our worthiness but about the greatness of the One we place our trust in. The impossible is possible when our faith is anchored in God.This message calls us to look beyond ourselves and ask honestly: Are we putting our faith in our own strength, in the world around us or in the One who has already proven He can do all things?

  41. 154

Ben Tarbuck - Way Church Values

This Sunday at Way Church, Ben Tarbuck brought a powerful word on the values we live by, as a church and as followers of Jesus. Our vision, “For all people to find their way to God,” isn’t just a motto; it is the foundation of everything we do, from the Community Grocery to Postcode Coffee and The Edge.Ben reminded us that values shape vision and vision shapes legacy. Just as Jesus taught about building on the rock instead of sand, we are called to root our lives and His church in the unshakable truth of God.The challenge is simple yet profound: What are the values you’re building on and do they align with God’s heart?

  42. 153

    Ben Tarbuck - Vision Blindness

This Sunday at Way Church, Ben Tarbuck shared a vision-filled message inspired by Nehemiah’s unshakable drive to rebuild the walls. Nehemiah knew what God had called him to do and he refused to be shaken by opposition, distraction or doubt.Ben reminded us how easy it is to slip into vision blindness. When discouragement, distractions or false perspectives cloud what God has placed before us. Just like an eye mask dims reality, we can start to see things not as they truly are but as fear or doubt makes them appear. Yet God calls us higher.Breaking it down into three powerful truths: Discouragement, Distraction and Done, Ben showed us that the enemy may try to silence, stall or stop us but God always has the final word. What He begins, He will bring to completion. This message is a call to lift your eyes, shake off the blindfold and step boldly into the vision God has for your life and for His church. Because when He is at work, nothing can stand in the way of His purposes.

  43. 152

This Sunday, Lucy Ayres delivered a heartfelt and awakening message on entrusting God with every step of our journey. She spoke about the posture of our feet: wandering, wobbly or steady and how in every state, God calls us to lean on Him and trust His leading. Even when our steps feel uncertain His guidance is sure, His promise unshakable and His love unfailing.Lucy reminded us that true trust means letting go, surrendering control and believing that God is always moving us closer to His purpose. This is an invitation to place your steps, your fears and your future in the hands of the One who never fails.

Glen Rickard - Overcoming fear and anxiety

This Sunday at Way Church, we were blessed to have Glenn, one of our own, launch our new series: Summer in the Psalms with a deeply moving message on overcoming fear and anxiety.Rooted in the truth of Psalm 27:1, Glenn reminded us that peace is not the absence of trouble but the presence of God Himself. In moments of fear and anxious thoughts, it’s not escape we need, it’s encounter. We are called to seek the One who is our light and salvation, the stronghold of our lives. This message was a tender yet bold invitation to stop running from fear and start running to God. He is near, He is present, and He is peace.

Ben Tarbuck - Live your life all to Him

This Sunday at Way Church Ben Tarbuck closed out our ‘All to Him’ series with a powerful and moving message on full surrender to God.Drawing from the life of Daniel, Ben showed us what it looks like to stand firm in faith while shifting the culture around us. Daniel didn’t compromise instead he chose devotion over comfort, prayer over fear and faith over conformity. In return, God’s presence sustained him, protected him and used him as a vessel of influence. We were reminded that when we give our all to Him, we don’t lose instead we gain everything. In the face of pressure, trials or even lions, our surrender becomes our strength because God is with us and He is for us.Let this be a call to live boldly, love deeply and stand faithfully. He’s worthy of it all.
