Psalm 138:2 highlights worship directed toward God's holy temple, praising Him for His steadfast love (hesed) and faithfulness. A central theme is that God has magnified His word (promises/scripture) even above His name, signifying that His revealed truth is supreme, reliable, and central to His character.

Hebrews 12:2 instructs believers to persevere in their faith journey by fixing their focus on Jesus, the "author and perfecter" of faith. He endured the cross and ignored its shame for the joy set before him, ultimately sitting at the right hand of God's throne. 

 Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue. 10 And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—that they might accuse Him.11 Then He said to them, “What man is there among you who has one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

God tests Abraham's faith by commanding him to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham, despite his love for Isaac, prepares to obey, demonstrating his profound trust in God. However, at the last moment, God intervenes, preventing the sacrifice and providing a ram as a substitute. 

And Jacob did so. He finished the week with Leah, and then Laban gave him his daughter Rachel to be his wife. 29 Laban gave his servant Bilhah to his daughter Rachel as her attendant. 30 Jacob made love to Rachel also, and his love for Rachel was greater than his love for Leah. And he worked for Laban another seven years.
