    People cannot remove sin. God, alone, has the power to remove sin. The reality of God's purpose to cleanse, heal, and defeat sin is found, as He promised, in His Son, Jesus, the Christ! (Isa 1:1-18; 1 Jn 3:8).

    In a dark world, God still shines the light of His face to give His grace and grant His peace to His children to bless us and keep us!

  12. The Kingdom: Sharing the Attitude of Jesus

    One of the greatest things about being in the kingdom is sharing the attitude of the King of kings. Humility, service, and trusting God to provide what is needed, this is available to us as subjects in His kingdom. (Matt 17, 18).

    My soul find rest in Christ, our God, alone. He, alone, is our Rock, Refuge, Deliverer, Strength, Support, and Salvation (Matt 16:18; Ps 18:1-2; 31:1-3; 62:1, et al. )

    The Devil's defeat is found in the redemption Christ paid at the cross. We can live lives knowing Sovereignty of our King and finding freedom in our High Priest. (Matt 16:15; Heb 2:14-17; 4:14-16; 7:11-28).

    The Mount of Transfiguration sums up for us that the hope God offers is found only in His Son. (Matt 16)

  20. Trusting in the Lord, not in Man

    God's purpose and desires for us are trustworthy and bring life. The desires of man become stumbling blocks in the purpose of God (Matt 16; Jer 17).

  21. What About You? . . . Who Do You Say I am?

    Knowing and remembering who the Christ is can and will save us from our sins and temptations, as it will encourage us and direct us to submit to Him (Matt 16:13-27).

  22. Rejecting Jesus' Identity and Misunderstanding His Mission

    The Pharisees were rejecting Jesus' identity. The disciples accepted His identity, but misunderstood His mission/purpose (Matt 16).

  23. Living Hope and Precious (Valuable) Faith

    We are born again in the Son, we are born into a living hope, and an glorious inheritance, and the faith that brings us this hope is far more precious than gold! (1 Pet 1:3-9)

    Jesus is the I AM. He is God's promise to save, redeem, and rescue us. In Him, we find all the hope, courage, and endurance we will ever need, even and especially when our faith is little and we doubt! (Matt 14)

    The promised Holy Spirit in God's eternal purpose of salvation (Acts 2:38-39).

  28. Not Moved from the Hope Held Out in the Gospel

    We have the fullness of hope revealed to us in Christ. We have a hope more certain and specific than any of God's people of old. We have a hope that changes everything! We must not be moved from it, it is ours to hold and have! (Col 1:19-27; Psa 42)

    The Apostle Paul prays for the church in Ephesus, .. the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened, in order that they know the hope to which God has called them, in Christ. (Eph 1:18; Rom 15:13).

    God has shown His compassion on rebellious sinners by sending His Son. Christ's compassion shows up when people need it.

    Those free from condemnation are also free from the frustration of, and obligation to, the flesh. They live in the peace and freedom given by God's Holy Spirit (Rom 8).

    The hope God offers us in His Son does not disappoint us! It is far greater than any suffering we may face in this world. Our hope is based on nothing less than the bedrock person of Christ Jesus, Himself!

    Once slaves to sin, who bore fruit for death,but we have been made new and free by dying to what once bound us (old man/law) We have God's Spirit, in order that we might bear fruit to God and live a life of freedom from sin (Rom 6, 7).

    It is imperative that we choose or be willing to be the good soil. We can choose and even train ourselves to have ears that hear.

  36. Let No Careless Word Be Spoken

    Careless words spoken against God's King(dom), as a basis for life, will bring judgment on the Day of Judgment. (Matt 12:36-37)

    If we listen to the Father and learn from Him, we will find life, in the Son!

    We can fall into playing spiritual Whack-A-Mole with sin in our lives. This will rob us of the joy we have in the peace Christ brings us, the peace that guards our hearts and minds in Christ. Without that guard, we can lose our joy!

    Just as the apostles were sent to preach the good news to the towns and villages of Israel, we also go out in vulnerability, as sheep among wolves. It is very important for us to know and remember the value of the gospel.

    Jesus is God's solution for people's sin and faithlessness, and that is good news!

    Trying to fit the redemption of the kingdom into a system of human performance is a waste of time and a rejection of Christ's redeeming blood (Matt 9:14-18).

    As Fathers, we face the God-given responsibility to protect and provide for our families. This pressure serves well to point us to the Faithful Father, who will provide for us as we seek to imitate Him.

  50. Let the Redeemed Say So, Proven Authority and Enduring Love

    The LORD, YHWH, had proven His authority and His enduring love to save, deliver, and rescue. Jesus is the fulfillment of God's power to keep His promises (Psalms 107; Matt 8).
