The good news is God will eventually heal us, but until that time comes things can get tough here on earth. Very tough. So is your hope and expectations of Him as the Messiah, the promised Savior from God. Join us as we witness a life-changing journey of two devastated and unbelieving disciples of Jesus. With Easter just a week away, we naturally begin thinking about what happened before Jesus’ resurrection: His arrest, trial, torture and crucifixion. Grim stuff to be sure. At the same time, if we look close enough we find numerous examples of just how much Jesus loves us. For instance, as we read about His arrest this morning we will discover tangible evidence of just how amazing Jesus’ commitment to us is. As we’ll find, He’s not only concerned about our spiritual health, but our physical and emotional health as well. In addition to being divine poetry originally put to music, they are also unique in how they address the full gamut of human emotions and felt needs. Fear, guilt, discouragement, envy, anger, you name it the Psalmists address it. If you want an honest assessment of what you’re feeling, as well as an honest assessment on what you need to do, the Psalms is the place to go. Today: Repentance. (Psalm 51)
