    What Are We Wondering About?

Welcome to Wondering Aloud — a podcast for kids ages six to eleven and the grown-ups in the car with them. In this first episode, we wonder about wondering itself. What does it mean to ask a question you don't already know the answer to? Why do grown-ups sometimes act like questions are a problem to fix? And what if your questions are actually one of the most important things about you? We hear the story of a twelve-year-old Jesus who got separated from his family on a trip to Jerusalem. When his parents finally found him — three days later — he was in the temple. Not teaching. Not lecturing. Asking the smartest grown-ups he could find some really good questions. This is a show about big questions, honest answers, and the holy work of wondering out loud. Some weeks we'll talk about something in the news. Some weeks we'll meet a surprising person from history. Some weeks we'll sit with a story from the Bible. Every week, we'll leave room for you to keep wondering after the episode ends. Today's wondering: What's a question you've been carrying around lately? What would happen if you asked it out loud?Who in your life is really good at wondering with you? A new episode every week. Bring your questions.
