Discussion Questions Eric talked about the importance of holding both truth and love together. Why do you think Christians often struggle to maintain that balance? The conversation highlighted that relationships often create opportunities for influence. How have meaningful relationships impacted your own faith journey? Eric compared love and truth to inertia and velocity. Which do you think the Church tends to emphasize more today, and what are the consequences when one is missing? Throughout the discussion, there was an emphasis on consistency. Why is a consistent Christian witness often more powerful than a persuasive argument? Pastor Nate and Eric discussed living faithfully in a culture that doesn't always share Christian values. What does it look like to remain faithful without becoming isolated or combative? Eric emphasized the importance of small, daily acts of obedience. How have seemingly small decisions shaped who you are today? The conversation pointed to the importance of humility and recognizing that we don't have everything figured out. How does humility help us engage difficult conversations with grace? Relationships require both truth and love to thrive. Which comes more naturally to you, and how can you grow in the other area? Looking at Jesus' ministry, where do you see Him demonstrating both unwavering truth and radical love at the same time? As our church continues to walk through the Perpetuation Plan process, how can we commit to praying faithfully for our Board, church leaders, and congregation? What specific prayers can we offer for wisdom, unity, discernment, and God's will to be clearly revealed?

We must KNOW THE TRUTH, WALK IN TRUTH, and LIVE IN TRUTH. TRUTH we PASSIONATELY BELIEVE … WE LIVE! This is the journey we call … “LIVING TRANSFORMED.” This being OBVIOUSLY TRUE … how much MORE IMPORTANT is this PRINCIPLE in our SPIRITUAL LIVES!!! We must CONSTANTLY GET GOD’S WORD IN our hearts and minds … until it becomes not only KNOWLEDGE WE PROFESS … but … TRUTH WE POSSESS and PRACTICE.

When WE SHOW UP, God’s LOVE IS SEEN … and people are reassured that GOD SEES THEM and LOVES THEM. They are NOT FORGOTTEN! The world will never be CAPTIVATED AND CHANGED by NOISE. The BEST CHANCE FOR CHANGE comes through VISIBLE DEMONSTRATIONS of God’s love. God’s love must move FROM OUR LIPS and SATURATE OUR ENTIRE LIVES. This is what I like to call PROFESSION AND POSSESSION. There are NO COMPARTMENTS where His love does not flow.

Discussion Questions: Ben shared how growing up on the mission field gave him a front-row seat to both the darkness of the world and the transforming power of the Gospel. How does seeing the reality of people's spiritual need change the way we approach our own faith? Pastor Andrew and Ben both pushed back against the idea that making disciples is only for pastors, missionaries, or especially gifted Christians. What keeps ordinary believers from embracing that responsibility for themselves? Discussion Questions: Ben talked about the difference between simply avoiding sin and truly thriving in Christ. How can we tell when we've settled into spiritual comfort rather than continuing to grow? Throughout the conversation, Ben described disciple-making as one of the most rewarding parts of following Jesus. Why do you think investing in someone else's spiritual growth often deepens our own walk with Christ? Pastor Andrew reflected on how mission trips shaped his worldview and ultimately influenced his calling into ministry. What experiences has God used to stretch your faith and help you see His work in a new way? Ben challenged listeners to identify their "one more"—someone God has placed in their life to love, encourage, and point toward Jesus. Who has been a "one more" in your life, and who might God be placing on your heart today? Pastor Andrew talked about the importance of being interruptible. What are some ways our schedules, habits, or priorities can keep us from noticing the opportunities God puts in front of us? One of the strongest themes in the conversation was that God often works through ordinary interactions and everyday relationships. Why do we sometimes overlook the ministry opportunities closest to us? Ben shared a powerful story from his childhood about watching faithful believers endure tragedy while continuing to trust God. How does suffering reveal the depth and strength of a person's faith? Pastor Andrew and Ben both emphasized that sharing the Gospel doesn't look the same for everyone. How can believers faithfully live out the Great Commission while still honoring their unique personalities and gifts? Ben spoke about living with a sense of urgency because people need the hope of Jesus. What is the difference between Gospel urgency and simply staying busy with religious activity? Near the end of the conversation, both Pastor Andrew and Ben reflected on the people who invested in them spiritually. Looking back, who helped shape your faith, and how might God be calling you to make a similar investment in someone else?

Brothers. Sisters. It is time. It’s time to choose to lay down our lives as Christ laid down His life for the church. You are invited to be the embodiment of Christ in this world. Not only to your cubical buddy. Not only to the person you always seem to run into at the coffee shop. Not only to the tiny humans that run around your house all day. But the people in this very room. The ones you don’t know. The ones you know tragically well, or at least all of the ways they have hurt you or those you love. You are called to be the embodiment of Christ’s love right now. Right here.

When JESUS SAVED US, the “SURGERY” happens. SALVATION is instant, and then the HEALING AND GROWTH BEGIN. There may be some SETBACKS, but we’re moving in a NEW DIRECTION. There is NO LONGER A STUBBORN REFUSAL TO CONFESS AND REPENT. The PATTERN OF SIN IS BROKEN.

MAIN POINT This is the center of the passage. “ So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 25 And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us” (1 John 2:24-25 NLT) And again: “ And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.” (1 John 2:28 NLT) Remain faithful. Remain in fellowship. That’s the message!
