This is the second part in our series, Peace Maker.. It’s striking how often Jesus’ disciples find themselves in conflict with one another. Even with the perfectly loving and humble Son of God right there among them, their fallen humanity repeatedly gets in the way, drawing them into arguments and rivalry, particularly over the question of who is the greatest. The need to be ‘right’, 'best' and ‘first’ will always conflict with the work of a peacemaker. Jesus invites them to choose a radically different way of thinking and living, one marked by faithful humble service. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we’re so glad you’re here. This is the first part in our new series, Peace Maker - Cross the divide. In one of Jesus’ earliest peacemaking missions, we see him challenge the norms by crossing geographical, cultural, religious, moral and gender divides to reach one Samaritan woman. In this 4-part series we explore how Mary, Joseph, the Shepherds, and the Wise Men each said YES to God in the original nativity story. Their responses of surrender, humility, joy, and worship invite us to consider: how will we respond in our own yes moments? God’s glory is revealed first to the lowly, the overlooked, and the ordinary. Behold the good news that the Saviour is for all people—not just the powerful or the religious. But will they shake off the cultural norms and say yes to the invitation and show-up. Firstly, for Jesus, and then for the world. PLUS this message starts with Paul and Elaine Little, Zeo Pastors from Mexico. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we’re so glad you’re here. Putting Jesus first in our every day lives requires us to carry out the voluntary act of submission. The act of letting go of selfishness and ego; and letting Him take full control. We need to see everyone the way He sees them, regardless of our prejudice and sentiment, and love one another like Christ loved the church. We were all sinners and since the wages of sin is death, we were all dead in because of sin. However, just as Paul said; whilst we were yet dead; Christ, through His abundant grace and mercy, sacrifice Himself to restore us back to the Father and bring us back to life. This is good news that is worth sharing with the whole of humanity. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we’re so glad you’re here. Even though David messed up big time, he is still the only person that God used the term "man after my heart" to refer to. In his broken state and in the depth of his humanity, David understood what it means to totally seek and lean into God. His heart cherished being with God over anything else. No wonder 1000 years later, Jesus was still referred to, as the son of David. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we’re so glad you’re here. It is very easy for us to recall how Moses was quick to anger and how stopped him from entering the promise land but in this teaching, Harvey helps see how easily that could have been us and why the ONLY way to get to our desired destination is total reliance on God. If you're contemplating why disciple-making is referred to, as the "Great Commission", this is it. Every single action has a ripple effect in God's grand scheme. That one person that you've discipled could just be God's instrument for generational revival. This is why heaven rejoices over every single soul that is restored to God. Christianity has and should always be a movement - not a monument. Wherever you are on your journey of faith, we’re so glad you’re here. Discipleship is a daily decision to get out of the way and allow Christ lead us to those He wants to reach through us.
