In 1993 he released his first solo debut Black Robbin Hood which sold over 850,000 copies and remains a hit album to this day. He went on to release 3 more solo albums titled, True 2 Life, Keep Steppin 187th Ward and It Shall Be.In 1995 MC L joined the group Murder Inc. hailing from New Orleans (not to be confused with the label Murder Inc by Irv Gotti) The group consisted of Alamo, Crazy, Legend Man and MC L.
