A pesar de la advertencia del secretario de Gobernación, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong para que se retiren los bloqueos en el estado, la sección 22 del Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Educación (SNTE) acordó en su asamblea estatal continuar con este tipo de protestas. Aun cuando se han entablado las mesas de diálogo con autoridades federales el magisterio oaxaqueño no dará marcha atrás y mantendrá para los próximos días los más de 20 bloqueos y retenes en la entidad. Permanencia del bloqueo en la Autopista Oaxaca-Cuacnopalan en Asunción Nochixtlán, al igual que los bloqueos en el Istmo de Tehuantepec, son parte de los acuerdos . Asimismo, mantendrán el retén en la carretera federal 190 en el crucero de la agencia de Hacienda Blanca de San Pablo, Etla.
