Be Your Own Safe Space

from Healing Chingon · host Frankie Barrera

What does it really mean to “protect your mental health”? Is it keep it in from harm’s way or is it making it strong and more resilient to take on the world? I know I have a clear answer to those questions, and in today’s world mental health awareness has become our best to tool for growth, becoming stronger and more resilient, but is what we are doing taking us there or are we using mental health as a way to justify daily struggles as trauma, keeping us stagnant and fragile?  In this episode I talk about my journey of becoming my own safe space through a realistic mental health approach.
