19 | How to Be Discerning in a World Full of Deception

🤔 Truth vs deception, can you tell the difference between the two?In this episode I am sharing how to be discerning in a world full of deception. We live in VERY deceptive times! Gone are the days of “seeing is believing” with the onset of Ai technology. No longer can we simply believe what we see and hear, as we now rely on fact checkers to decipher what is true and what is false. These times of uncertainty can stir up a lot of anxiety and fear, but as women of Yah we must be diligent about seeking out TRUTH. 📝 A Few Notes on Seeking Truth* DO NOT lose hope in your search.* HOLD ON TO HUMILITY! I am NOT always right, I am always learning🚨How to be discerning in a world full of deception:* Choose the word of Yah as your foundation for truth. Psalm 119 (176 verses - theme: The Word of Yah)* Commit to knowing what it says– read and study scripture. Study to learn, not just to confirm.* Choose to believe the word (even the parts you do not yet understand)* Allow the word to shape your thought processes (The word of yah trumps your traditions and cultures).🤔 Why Such a Strong Emphasis on THE WORD?John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.John 14:6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.🙏🏾 Pray for wisdom, knowledge & understanding of Yah’s wordPsalms 111:10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.Colossians 2:8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.John 5:39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.* Pray for and practice discernment. Ep. 16-18discernment: the ability to judge well, understand hidden truths, or make wise decisions, often involving the sifting of complex information to distinguish between right and wrong or better and best* Don’t just be aware, be responsible and make informed decisions.* Be radical in what you watch, listen to, read etc. because faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17).* Focus on the heroes of faith.
