Medication comes with side effects, which are then treated with more medication. Focusing on the root cause of health problems could help avoid numerous issues. Genetics plays a role in disease and immunity, but there’s more to it. Genetics can provide clues about potential health issues we may encounter if our diet and environment are not quite right. Try these chronic disease prevention tips to overcome genetic predispositions and address the root cause of your health problem: 1. Go outside for sun exposure within 60 minutes of waking up. 2. Dim the lights 90 minutes before you go to bed. 3. Keep your bedtime and wake time consistent. 4. Work out regularly on a consistent schedule. 5. No eating 4 hours before bed. 6. Eat during a 6 to 8-hour window. 7. Go on a 10 to 15-minute walk after eating. 8. Consume something fermented with every meal. 9. Spend time in nature at least 3 times per week. 10. Put your hands in the soil. 11. Use an air purifier in the house. 12. Use a water filter or drink mineral water. 13. Use fragrance-free hair and skin care. 14. Use stainless steel or chemical-free cookware. 15. Don’t keep ultra-processed foods in the house. 16. Limit eating out at restaurants. 17. Use a sauna/hot shower/cold bath regularly. 18.
