心理學教授Edward T. Higgins 提出「自我差距理論(Self-discrepancy theory)」 來說明每個人心中有三種不同的自己。   這三種分別為: 「真實我(actual self)」、「應該我(ought self)」與 「理想我(ideal self)」。   什麼是真實我呢? 「真實我」是自己心中認定真實的自己,自己對自己的客觀認定。 這也是我們對於自己認識的自我概念。 「應該我」是我們認為自己有責任或義務成為的樣子, 可能是在職場,學校,家中各種不同的社會角色中伴演或達到 他人認為我們應該的樣子。 「理想我」是我們希望、期待自己在未來可以成為的樣子, 是屬於自己對於自己的期待。   Higgins認為人都有動機想要達成某種狀態, 無論是家庭幸福、工作成就或者自我成長, 使得真實自我能夠引導自己到那樣的狀態, 但若達不到標準就產生了心理差距(discrepancy)。 當差距越大,負向情緒困擾越嚴重,反而無助於身心健康的發展 這些內心不舒服來自現狀與「期待」或「應該」的樣貌有落差。 當真實我和理想我有一定差距時,自我苛責,容易產生憂鬱情緒; 真實我和應該我有一定差距時,容易產生焦慮感受。     Powered by Firstory Hosting
