Episode XXVIII: Sustainable Holiday Gift Guide

from That's Rad · host Littleton Food Co-op

Looking for a last minute holiday gift? Look no further than the Littleton Food Co-op! Our intrepid podcast host Anastasia is back once again with a way to get all of your shopping done while you do your regular grocery shopping, too. To step it up from last year’s gift guide, this year we’re giving you the 2022 That’s Rad Sustainable Gift Guide. There are many ways to think of sustainability when it comes to the holiday season, and we tried to encompass them all. The gift ideas Anastasia shares in this episode use very little to no plastic packaging thanks to the Bulk Department. Plus, most of the gifts are edible, and they’re all certainly personalizable, which means a low risk of your gift ending up with a dreaded “R” (regift) label. This episode also features a timeless “Bulk 101” run down with Bulk Department manager Matt Perry. So whether you’re wrapping presents, making your list (and checking it twice), or driving over the river and through the woods to grandma’s house, this episode is just what you need to listen to this holiday season. The Littleton Food Co-op is the North Country’s premiere locally-owned grocery store and foodie gift destination. Just off Exit 41 is a wide variety of local organic produce, fresh meat and seafood, specialty cheeses, craft beer and wine, and bulk items of course. And who wouldn’t want any of those things this holiday season? Local favorites like Polly's Pancake Parlor pancake mix, White Mountain Images photo products, and Schilling Brewery beer can all be found here. Or, give the gift of Co-op membership! As a cooperative, we are owned by over 8,500 community members. Membership is not required to shop in store, but members have the opportunity to contribute towards the community market they want to see.
