'God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began' 2 Timothy 1:8-9 • God has called each of us with a purpose and grace to fulfil it. • First and foremost we are pre-destined to be ‘conformed to the likeness’ of Jesus (Romans 8:29) • Alongside this God knows the prosperous plans He has for us (Jeremiah 29:11) and has pre-ordained the days of our lives. (Psalm 139:16, 2 Timothy 1:8-9, Acts 17:26) • God has given each of us an opportunity to walk in those perfect plans, our destiny (or vocation/calling), and bring His kingdom and pre-ordained will in heaven to the earth in our lives! (Matthew 6:10) • A recent secular survey from medical practitioners indicated that the majority of their patients were suffering from a profound lack of purpose in their lives – their lives were meaningless. And in turn that had a direct influence on their physical ailments.
