High school students join nationwide protests, walk out in opposition to 'terrorizing' immigration enforcement

Box Elder High School students have been joining ongoing nationwide protests of the Trump Administration’s immigration enforcement efforts. On Friday, Jan. 30, a group of about 17 BEHS students carrying signs joined the “National Shutdown” walkout. The students said they were standing specifically with Minneapolis, Minnesota, the latest American city to see a surge in officers and immigration enforcement activity, and generally anyplace the administration’s immi- gration efforts are “Terrorizing a whole lot of people who don’t deserve to be terrorized,” according to one student.
