Interview With Breanna Ward: Senior Sanctuary: Dog Rescue :

Sophie's Senior Sanctuary. We rescue senior dogs who have been abandoned whether it be in the streets or a shelter, placed on death row, or set to be euthanized. These dogs have so much more life to give and it happens more than it should. We give them a safe and loving home to live out the rest of their lives whether it be a few weeks to a few years. It all started after I began working at a local vet clinic in North Carolina. So many people who either got sick of caring for an old dog or got a new puppy that their previous dog wasn't given adequate time to adjust to... So they opted for euthanasia. I just couldn't watch it happen anymore. So I started taking home all the dogs who had that unlucky fate. Most dogs have come to us in sad conditions including bad skin infections and massive tumors. We have rescued a total of 5 seniors so far and hope to soon expand after all of our paperwork has been processed and approved. These dogs are our life as we are there's and we wouldn't want it any other wa y.
