La caída de Pnom Penh, Camboya, en 1975 abrió la puerta para que un nuevo régimen, el del Khmer Rouge, se instalara en el poder con la serie de reformas más radicales que nos hemos encontrado en este programa hasta el momento. La quiebra que existía en el bloque comunista entre la URSS y China perjudicó las relaciones con su vecino, Vietnam. Así, un conflicto entre los dos países se gestaría, donde la brutalidad asesina del Khmer Rouge amenazó con llegar a la tierra de Ho Chi Minh. Una historia triste donde como siempre, la que pierde es la gente de todos lados. Iniciamos un nuevo ciclo de descubrimiento para nosotros, donde hablaremos de guerras que ignoramos. Y comenzamos con el enfrentamiento entre Vietnam y Camboya.
