“Lake Hits Happenings” Host Bruce Carlstrom is joined by Jim Schreck, Chairman of Greater Lake City Community Foundation to talk about the Foundation’s Five for Food initiative for the Lake City Food Shelf surpassed its $50,000 goal raising $50,661. The Foundation will award $21,000 in scholarships to seniors within the Lake City school district. The pond reclamation project will include five projects in 2024. The project, which reduces the flow of sediment into Lake Pepin at the deltas of three local creeks, is anticipated to take 16 years.
