Lifting Her Voice Podcast - 2021 Trailer

from Lifting Her Voice · host Joy Miller

Be sure to tune in for the second season of the Lifting Her Voice Podcast, beginning January 1, 2021.  My name is Joy Miller, and for each of the last 12 or 13 years, I have read the Bible cover-to-cover.  I love reading the God’s Word systematically.  I’m not a fan of opening the Bible, closing my eyes, and reading whatever my finger lands on.  We just don’t get the whole story that way.  Reading systematically, much more often results in discipline, habit, joy, and – best of all – knowing God better. And isn’t that our true objective? So, I invite you to join me in reading the Bible cover-to-cover in 2021.  We’ll be reading the Christian Standard Bible translation, a nice readable version.  Let’s use the Blue Letter Bible reading plan found on the Bible-reading app YouVersion.  This is a free app and if you haven’t downloaded it, I encourage you to do so.  It has many, many resources that you can take right along with you wherever you go. The podcast, with few exceptions, will be strictly reading the text.  I may comment at the end periodically, but for the most part, any extended comments will be shared on the Lifting Her Voice blog page.  That way, we’ll keep our time together to about fifteen or twenty minutes. It is my prayer that you will join me this coming year in reading the entire Bible, especially if you have never done so before.  Then share your thoughts along the way at Lifting Her Voice.com, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

TomCattt Thomas Patton From the beginning music has prowled with accordion lessons at a young age, followed by sax, blues harp and more recently piano, vocals, song writing and recording. Thomas Patton (AKA TomCattt) credits his mother for his stage name "TomCattt” as she was big on nick names for those she held close to her heart. TomCattt's music is best described as easy listening and sometimes retro, yet with a contemporary mix and feel. Accompanied by the creative tracks of a number of gifted musicians, his first album Hiiyaaaaaaaaaaa inspires imagination and finds a way to impress with a unique vocal sound, compelling harmony and gripping melody. The lyrical content is in fact a living reflection of this artists emotional journey that followed leaving love, finding a new love only to lose love once again. Hiiyaaaaaaaaaaa was released on June 1st, 2013 and all are invited to Soundcloud, Bandcamp, ReverbNation and Cdbaby where "A Question" is free download and to enjoy TomCattt's website tomcattt.com.
