Omega.Un disco en el que se unen lo mejor del rock y del flamenco para una grabación atemporal que aún a día de hoy sigue siendo moderna. Enrique Morente se junta con la banda Lagartija Nick y con la ayuda de un buen ramillete de colaboradores de lujo pondrán música a una selección de poemas de Leonard Cohen y Federico García Lorca. Omega. En 1996, sale al mercado un cd que sería el resultado de los últimos quebraderos de cabeza del gran Enrique Morente y de cómo le dio una vuelta más al flamenco. Letras de los maestros Cohen y Lorca se funden con una amalgama de guitarras eléctricas y españolas al ritmo de la batería de Eric Jiménez. Vicente Amigo,Tomatito, Estrella Morente, Isidro Muñiz o Cañizares son una pequeña muestra de todo el elenco de una gran obra. A diferencia de “Leyenda del tiempo ““Omega “tuvo éxito desde el principio, llegando a realizar varias giras, tocando en festivales como el FIB o el Primavera Sound. No fue hasta 2016 con motivo del 20 aniversario del disco cuando Universal saca un triple vinilo para conmemorar como se merece esta gran obra. Dos discos con los 13 temas originales más un disco lleno de rarezas y tomas adicionales, un lujo que se merecía y que lo encumbraría todavía más. Phonotoner recupera dicha edición y selecciona algún fragmento del libro “Historia Oral del álbum Omega …” de Bruno Galindo para contextualizar y escuchar con detenimiento uno de los mejores discos de la música en español.
