Brother Desmond R Singh relies on the leading of the Holy Spirit each time he stands to preach or teach. The instruction of God's people is so vital that He cannot risk it to human thinking, presumptions, or philosophy. Therefore, Jesus prayed to the Father, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:17) Scripture is essential to our life. "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope" (Romans 15:4). Yet, it is impossible to comprehend God's truth with human intellect, (although many people try). So, at the appropriate time when God calls His elect to commence their sanctification process, He "quickens" or ignites spiritual life in us.
