The Jews then murmured at Jesus because he said, "I am the bread which came down from heaven" (John 6:40-41). Murmuring indicates not only a lack of understanding but lack of faith. In this lesson, Brother Desmond Singh briefly recounts the numerous ways in which God leads our little assembly. Illumination takes time—so while we may not always comprehend the vision of the man of God — we mustn't murmur against it. Our pastor urges us to be patient and wait for things to unfold. God makes ways for His people that are impossible for men! Murmuring led the Jews to reject Jesus, and it can lead us to despise the man of God. We live in dangerous times. We need God's continual direction and guidance like the Hebrew children in the wilderness.
