Top 10 Australian Chardonnays future DECIDED!

from Got Somme : Master Sommelier's Wine Podcast · host SESSION in PROGRESS

Embarking his 20th vintage in Yarra Valley Toolangi winemaker Kaspar Hermann knows a thing or two about getting the best from a Chardonnay grape. Marrying into a wine making family, and taking a viticulture course himself in his teens, wine is where he was destined to be and after vintages with Seville Estate, Rochford and Mount Mary, Toolangi came calling. Taking over the reigns from legendary winemakers Rick Kinzbrunner, Franco D'Anna, David Bicknell and Willy Lunn his first vintage in 2019 was made somewhat easier by starting during the harvest and the pressure of making calls about the canopy and crop being delayed until 2020. In this episode of Got Somme: Master Sommelier Carlos Santos and wine lover Angus O'Loughlin talk about the Toolangi Takeover, the importance of 'F Block Chardonnay' and the world stage Kaspar dreams to take his wines.   Watch this episode and join us for a glass https://youtu.be/A8_1q5fMJ5o Buy the wine, drink the wine where we get ours.
